And you're sure this isn't just some fanboy thing? 'Cause I've fought more than a couple pimply, overweight vamps that called themselves Lestat.

Spike's Bitches 31: We're Motivated Go-getters.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

What is even happening?

I, too, have Hobbit hair, right now. My "soft black" has finally faded to a color that works well on me. Unfortunately, I have about a half inch of roots, that are still more pepper than salt, but there's more salt than is good for my blood pressure. Or ego. Or something.

love's a dream you enter though I shake and shake and shake you

Robin, we learned in nursing school that eating disorders are almost entirely about control, and sometimes it helps to point out to the person that what started as an exercise in control is in fact entirely beyond their control now. If they seem open to it, you can point out that they can regain some control by not participating in the behavior that's taken them to this point, and that a good therapist can help them get that control back.

Unfortunately eating disorders are often life-long struggles for people much the same way that alcoholism never really goes away even if you don't drink, but many people who have eating disorders successfully manage them. I'm sending good thoughts her and your way.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

I'm sorry about venting here. There is no one at home I can talk with about this

you are supposed to vent her. and wew give hugs and advice - all of which youare allowed to ignore. and if it is between K-bug and Dh , there is nothing you can do to fix things - so vent here.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Oh, Suz. That's so tough when the adults don't want to be.

What is even happening?

Oh crap, Suzi. I just read the LJ. "Suck it up," and/or "let it go," is about the only thing anyone can say to him, I think. I hope it gets better for you. For them too, but especially for you.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

K-Bug is just struggling with what she wants to do regarding softball. She is finally having to WORK at softball instead of it coming easy and has hit a mental wall. I'm just trying to get her through the next month without quitting on herself.

If she ever saw DH acting the way he has been to me - crying and pouting over this, she would feel so guilty. I'm just so stunned by his inability to cope. I've told him that if he can't get it under control then he shouldn't come to the next tournament. And if he does and acts as he has the last couple of day, OMG watch out. I'll need a lawyer and bail money.

rant, rant, ranty, rant.

Suzi, what exactly is he crying and pouting about? Is it because they're losing, or because K is not as into it when it is work, or what? I mean, any way you slice it, I understand your frustration (and support you in it). I just don't understand what he's focusing on in the first place, I guess.

The status is NOT quo.

Suzi, you don't ever need to apologize for venting here; that's part of why we're here. Rant-support.

words do not begin to express how truly, truly terrible I look with black hair. Terrible. Dead. And not in a sexy way.

Fay is me. I desperately wanted to dye my hair black this winter after I'd been red awhile, but I know exactly how it would look, and "sexy" is NOT the word.

I loved both Gud and Teppy's pictures. Gud, she really does look so relaxed and natural, which is so unusual for a beginner. I wish I had a million dollars to throw your way so she could have her own pony and lessons and everything. Alas.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

I dunno -- she's just all blonde and sunshine-y, not dark and goth and sexy in that mysterious might-be-deadly way.

Blondes can be wicked and alluring.

I confess, I expected your linked pictures to be of Fay. Or some other hot Buffista blonde. Like erika, or juliana in her blonde days.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Her mental struggles have led her to making errors which have limited her playing time. She is not sure if she wants to play softball in college or even at a competative level after this season is over. She is a teenager who does not have all the answers and is struggling to balance investing in herself and spending time doing teenagery things.

He wants her to get a softball scholarship. He wants her to have a burning passion for softball.

When she is not frustrated, she likes the game. Right now she is so frustrated that she has forgotten that.

Shoot, even if/when she rediscovers the fun in it, I don't see her getting a full ride type scholarship. She is good, but she is not "OMG". A smaller school might be interested in her if she wanted to push for that, but it would be up to her.

I'm just trying to help her finish the commitment she has made to her team. It would be financially fantastic for her to quit and I'd have so much time back - but I think it would be the worst thing for her. Plus she hasn't asked about quiting - just not playing fall ball. She says she still wants to play high school ball next year.

He sees life as black and white - all or nothing.

Gah, I've babbled enough. Must find food.
