I'm fairly certain I said no interruptions.

Spike's Bitches 31: We're Motivated Go-getters.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

This one. I like her. Sorry.

I like her food, would definitely buy her cookbook, I just don’t like her. She’s annoying. The EVOO thing really gets on my nerves.

It is what's her name with 'Semi- homemade' that drives me crazy. Sometimes I watch her just to see what bizzare and strange things she can do to food.

And she’s skinny! I just can’t trust a thin cook.

I can take if from the barefoot contessa - she seems to be from another generation - and because her husband isn't home durring the week rituals and traditions help ease the transition.

I don't mind it either. her recipes are good and simple, and I would be excited about making something good for my husband if I only saw him on the weekends.

The one I have been watching lately is Healthy Appetitewith Ellie Kreiger

I don't know. There's something about her I just don't like.

Because books.

I love Barefoot Contessa -- her recipes really are simple and delicious. I got Stephen one of her cookbooks for Christmas.

All of the kid pix are just. too. cute. Lily is astoundingly beautiful. And so happy!

I can understand that he is only home on the weekends and she is excited to cook for him, it is just the implication that he wouldn't have a reason to come home if she didn't cook that bugs me.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

EK has a very horse voice and she talks a lot about the caloric contenet and nutrtional content of food. both of those can be irritating. Esp. if you know these things. ( and forget how she talks about her husband or daughter). But I have tried a couple of her receipes and they are really good. and she uses her knowledge. and she seems to like food. But I can see where she would get annoying . and DH and I are convinced that the music on her show is done by the same people that tdo the music for Barefoot Contessa. Which we can get no info about.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

You know, to watch Nigella. She's a babe.

Hell. Yes.

Seriously, Nigella is Right Up There on my list of celebrity crushes. Higher than - well, most of them, actually. So hot. And she can write. And she can cook.

shakes head wistfully

I'm not entirely sure whether I want to be her, or do her. Both, I think.

I don't get that impression at all. They are actually quite cute together. I watched her "chefography", and Jeffrey was a hottie in college. :) I also love the way she has no straight male friends.

move out and draw fire

Well, Fay, you know Vodaphone is a communication company.

I just had an amusing discussion with the DH. To summarize:

Me: "I've read some Harry Potter fanfic that was better than Rowling's last few books."
DH: @@. "And isn't it all Harry-on-Draco action anyway?"
Me: (superior) "Fanfic doesn't have to be slash."
DH: "I just think it's a waste of time and talent."
Me: "Dude. You write D&D adventures."
DH: "..."
DH: "No fair holding a mirror up."

She said as much once or twice. I do like her friends though.

::sits next to Fay::

I love Nigella. We used to get her show on the Style Network, I think, but I don't think we get it up here, if they're even running it. I got her Baking and the Art of Comfort Cooking for Christmas, and there are drool stains all over it now.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

By the way, I saw a couple of episodes of Gordon Ramsey's new show. Looks kind of fun, if a bit odd. And I love the way he does his recipes (even if that is a very tiny part of the show.)
