Get up...get up, you stupid piece of... What did you do that for? What's wrong with you? Didn't you hear a word he said? All of you! You think there's someone just going to drop money on you?! Money they could use?! Well, there ain't people like that. There's just people like me.

Art Crawl!!!

I don't believe I've ever managed to watch more than a few minutes of Semi-Homemade.

Mostly lurking...

I have been much more productive today than I was yesterday! I've paid bills, called and ordered phone, DSL, and cable for the new place, and, well, I guess that's it. But, that's pretty good for having a migraine, right?

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

vw, that is more than can be asked for! Don't forget to rest in there a little so the migraine goes away!

Forgot to say that the Lilybean pictures killed me ded. I know no other babies than the Bean, now.

Yay for Emmett, Hec! That's a real confidence builder.

Go, vw!!! That is a ton to get done with a migraine.

The other thing that gets to me about Sandra Lee is that her set is redecorated in some way for every episode to go with the meal. I don't know why, but I find that annoying and not very fitting with the Semi-Homemade concept.

I'm all about the semi-homemade food, I don't have time to cook from scratch every night.

All is well that ends in pizza.

I miss Jeff Smith, The Frugal Gourmet.

Me too, just not Sandra Lee. I have been "preparing" meals long before I could actually cook.

Because books.

I miss Jeff Smith, The Frugal Gourmet.

Oh yeah! Wow, I had forgotten all about him. Stephen used to watch him religiously.

Sandra Lee makes me want to hurl, but I don't mind Rachael Ray.

move out and draw fire

I miss having the option of "preparing" food. Well, okay, I can get a salad bag, but canned soup would be really nice to have. And making my own chicken broth feels all noble and stuff, but is a pain. I've started using Knorr cubes, although they don't measure out exactly right.

Food -> Diet

As of July 1st I'm on a quest to downsize. Y'all keep me honest. A pound of fat equals 3500 calories, so if I reduce what I eat by 250 calories a day and exercise for 250 calories a day, that's one pound of fat gone per week. So I should be at my target weight by Xmas. Wish me stick-to-it-ma!
