You do well to flee, townspeople! I will pillage your lands and dwellings! I will burn your crops and make merry sport with your more attractive daughters! Ha ha ha! Mark my words! Ooh! Ale! I smell delicious ale!

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

vanguard of the socialist Hollywood liberal homosexualist agenda

So I'm taking my lunch to have a phone interview in a half-hour... I am ridiculously nervous. It would be a full-time position at the university library where I used to work (it's my old boss's position!), the same rate I'm making right now (but in a city where the cost of living is much lower), so I could probably drop the second job.... but! I just moved last September, so I'd be moving again, and it's not a great town for other job opportunities if this falls through... !!!!!

I'm nervous for a phone interview AND having a crisis about my future job direction all at the same time! ::dies::

Mostly lurking...

You know what I hate? When people ask REALLY stupid questions.

Just had some people come look at the apartment. There's a bus stop right by our front door. They're all, "Can you hear the buses, or is it pretty quiet since you're on the third floor?"

I lied. I figure it's time I start doing that with regards to this apartment and the landlords.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Arghplrghty.

Awake, if not wide awake. Up till about 5 last night, just reading after a great fireworks show (so close we had ash falling on us! It was a great neighborborhood display at the local high school). Intended to sleep later, but woke up at 11 having to pee, and couldn't fall back asleep for obsessing about things I need to do bill and housecleaning-wise.

So I am up. Gronky, but up. Whoopie.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

I lied. I figure it's time I start doing that with regards to this apartment and the landlords.

I'm imagining you saying something like, "The bus noises really are the only real problem because the landlords are great."

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

sending out the ma for jobs and tests

trying to decide what things I really want/need to get done this am. now that I have spent 2 hours at the coffee shop. Laundry is tops. but I think cleaning the bedroom is up there. However, the cat thinks I should follow him around saying good kitty.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

Gloomcookie, do you know how the other peeps did? Maybe it was just a hard test.

The average was 77, so I scored 1 point less than the average. There was a time that a C on a stats test would have thrilled me. Now, however, I'm disappointed. I put in a lot of time doing homework and studying and I did well on the practice tests. V. v. annoying. Of course, the lowest grade received was a 27 (!!!), so I guess it could be worse.

move out and draw fire

We found the dog's people, and he is now back with them.

I'm so glad he and his people are back together, but I'm a little sad that you do not have a dog.
