Who else thinks that Hec should have heard out his (rather pregnant) wrothful wife, even if the story was boring?
(sorry, that came out harsher than intended). Yay for Monty Python cures.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Well, I don't think a jury in the land would have convicted her if she'd decked him, but YMMV. Glad the Pythons brought the cheery instead.
A timely reminder of what parenting a baby is going to be like again.
Indeed. I've been in baby/toddler hell today.
Although, and I don't know what to make of this, Mal and I were playing blocks while watching Slings and Arrows and at pretty every Shakespeare scene (I mean the ones where an actor is speaking the text), Mal would stop and look up rapt, totally focussed.
Probably not coincidentally, getting him to use actual words backslid significantly today. Maybe he's decided not to speak until he has a better writer.
Gotta say, Slings and Arrows looks like something I'd fall head over heels in love with. God knows I adored Men with Brooms, and it's not like I have any feelings about curling one way or the other. Shakespeare festival, otoh...yeah.
Hallo. I am not usually up at this hour on a Saturday (much less "have been up for almost 2 hours"), but my landlord came over so I could sign a new lease. They're moving to Texas. Eek. Here's hoping nothing happens that requires emergency landlord help!
I still need to clean more before smonster and Amyth show up, but I'm wanting to go back to bed. HOWEVER, I'm pissed because my phone (which is only a year old!) has EATEN smonster's phone number. Because she's at the end of the alphabet. Bastard. And I don't want to buy an expensive new phone, but I also don't want to sign an extension on my contract and have to hope that a new phone would last for three years. BASTARDS.

Yeah, that would be the traditional method. But I can guarantee two things if I'd been less innovative in my Pythonian therapy: 1) I would have been bored; 2) JZ would have wound herself up into a froth of wroth that would not have relieved her mood.

Well, he may be sensitive to rhythm in language which means you have either a budding scholar, or a kid who's going to drive you nuts with gangsta rap at an early age.

Oh yeah. Plus it's got several male/male relationships that could benefit from slash goggles. Even the dim, pretty motorcycle boy is gallant and interesting.
Fay, you would absolutely adore it. It's the best acting I've seen from Paul Gross, too. The whole cast is fantastic, but I have to say his performance surprised me (in a good way). I'm looking forward to the DH getting home so I can watch it again with fewer distractions and someone who understands why I'm laughing or crying.

If he raps in iambic pentameter, I'm okay with that.
My best male friend is really good at the "Your rant is boring. Here, catch this curveball" thing with me, but I have to say I don't take that well from Robert. He doesn't take it well when I rant either, tho, so that's fair.
got side with David on this one. DH is a ranter. everynow and then I just look at him and say" Is this helping?" and think of something more fun to do. now, if had said , this is boreing and walked away - that's dofferent. but he found a way to make her feel better -and that is good.
I don't think there's really a question of taking sides here.
