Walking I get. But power walking? Why not just run for a shorter time?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Hey Lilty! Long time no post.

ION, never ever buy anything from Sears for lo they are evil and have their collective air conditioners up their asses.

Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

I used to work at Sears. There were a few people that were nice and intelligent, but most were incredibly overburdened by their horrible rules, which sucked. People think of government as being overloaded by bureaucracy. No government I've seen has anything on Sears, with the possible exception of the City of Oakland.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Sears does, however, have a pretty good selection of plus sized clothes (at least n my area)... I worked at Penney's at one point, but Sears truly has a better plus department...

Sophia, I won't speak to their clothes. I will, however, say that their installers, service, and sales for AC suck ASS. It's been a month--a MONTH--since my initial online order, and yet here we are, standing in Sears waiting for them to figure out how to get my return for the completely non-functional machine back onto my AmEx. HATE.

Lilty!!!

My company just left. 5 people ate nearly two pounds of pasta. It was lots of fun. Now Dave and I are going to watch Big Gay Pirates! He's never seen it.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I'm surprised at the Sears incomepetence. I've gone to them for many appliances and always been satisfied.

Though a friend of mine who worked at Sears told me that the different departments are something like independent vendors licensed to sell under teh Sears name (this was 15 year ago and may no longer be true, or just be garbled by my memory) so that an excellent vacuum dept. could exist side by side with a suckass A/C dept.

In any case, total drag, Kristin. COmfortable coolness should not be so hard to come by.

My mother has used Sears to service her air conditioner as long as I can remember. They used to be fabulous. Lately, nsm. Kristin, I hope you get it all straightened out.

All is well that ends in pizza.

I KISS YOU! MWAH!

Er, though it's not quite dead, per se. The battery holds no juice, but it still turns on and everything.

No problem. My newest laptop is a Pentium 90 with a broken keyboard chip and has 16 MB RAM...and dead battery.

Signs of life and promise are always welcome. The truly dead take a while to ressurrect, if ever.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

IIRC

Hyperthyroidism has symptoms including fatigue, hand tremor, hair loss, mental impairment, memory problems, irritability, increased appetite accompanied by unexplained weightloss. Treatment may include surgical removal of the thyroid gland or partial destrution via radiation, followed by hormone replacement therapy using synthroid.

Hypothyroidism has symptoms including fatigue, depression, weight gain, hair loss, thickening of the eyelids, dry skin. Treatment is hrt featuring, of course, sythroid.

I had to look up the symptoms list for hyperthyroidism. I knew the one for hypothyroidism. Neither list is exhaustive.

Testing for thyroid function is generally for the TSH level. But the level of Thyroid Stimulating Hormone may not always yield an accurate picture of what the thyroid is doing. There are other tests for levels of the actual thyroid hormones. One assumes they are more expensive to run, otherwise they would be measured directly instead of indirectly.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Running T3 and T4 levels along with TSH is a pretty good indicator, and they are all blood tests. My doc routinely runs these on me.
