Did you let them in? I'd work on excuses why you can't, if you don't want to go with the simple "This is not ok."
Spike's Bitches 31: We're Motivated Go-getters.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
I did let them in, but we had a little "talk" about the fact that she really must call first...even if it's from downstairs.
I've resigned myself to not having 24-hours notice, but I am going to require notice from here on out. I'm trying to be flexible, because I want them to rent the place quickly.
At least poor Emily was dressed. She quickly ran back to her room and made her bed...
Don't let them in again, vw. That's just wrong. You could have been in the shower or something.
Well, I KNOW! If someone was in the shower, I wouldn't have let them in.
Emily made a good point. I come across very polite, kind, nice, professional, etc., so people may not realize that they're imposing. But, I made it very clear that she needs to call first. And, if she doesn't, well, next time I embarrass her in front of clients.
This also pisses me off, 'cause the agency I used would have NEVER pulled this crap. They are SO respectful of current tenants. So, this just shocks me.
It's astoundingly bad form. I hope they are not fooled by the politeness into thinking they can pull this again, though they certainly deserve the Wrath of Bug that it would bring upon them.
I'm tempted to call and complain to my landlord. But, I'm not sure what good that would do.
Or - if you want to go all passive-aggressive on them - let the place get horribly messy and don't even attempt to pick up when they come knocking. Then say something about how you'd have cleaned up if you knew they were coming, but didn't have time.
Guess this would work against them getting it rented soon ... but mind games are always fun!
Well, it certainly wasn't perfect today. But, oh, well. I'm not gonna let that bother me.
next time I embarrass her in front of clients
This. A comment like, "Now's not a good time. Try coming back in 4 hours. Or, better, schedule an appointment 24 hours in advance, like you're supposed to."
