I am so proud of him. Last night, as a reward, he had no official bedtime and he had grand plans to "stay up all night"....ummm, he was out by 10:15.
This is too cute! Go, CJ!
'Shindig'
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

YAY CJ!
YAY no more radiation!
Yay, CJ!
Gold star for Radioactive Girl!
Well done, CJ! When Emmett was younger, I often felt like, "If I can just keep him on the rails so this energy is focused..."
Weekend: A's game tonight. Tomorrow - movies with Emmett, I think. Cars, Nacho Libre. Maybe Over the Hedge. Cars first, though. Sunday, Tournament Team practice.
Happy birthday, Askye!

Hee! I remember doing that when I was younger. But it also happens more often than I'd like to admit now that I'm older. Feh.
Yay Jen! Also, it's good to see your font.
And in good meme news - I had my final radiation appointment today! All done with both kinds of radiation... now sitting back and waiting for the superpowers to kick in.
Oooh! I'm voting for The Power of No More Funny Cells, DAMMIT. And seeing through men's clothes.
All done with both kinds of radiation...
Yippee! Boo for the limited access to us though.
Yay CJ! I wish I could report happy report cards. Not so much here. If they want a career taking standardized tests they have it made. If they have to do actual work they're sunk.
If they have to do actual work they're sunk.
I think Emmett would be that way if he wasn't in an aftercare with nothing but the children of graduate students. They all have to sit down and do their homework for 45 minutes to an hour, right at 4pm. Sooooo much better than the sad struggle at home faced doing homework when he was in second and third grade and a different aftercare.
And you know what? I've come to pick him up during the enforced homework time and it's not that burdensome on the kids. They're doing their work and huddled together and talking quietly under their voices when the counselors aren't around.
It's such a simple thing making it mandatory, and having it enforced by the aftercare. They don't resent it nearly as much as they do with parental enforcement. It's almost peer group enforced. His other aftercare had a voluntary homework thingie - but almost nobody did it.
Now we just have the wait for K-Bug's report card to come in the mail. We are expecting a 3.6 or better.
I wanna go home and look at CJ's yearbook to see a picture of crush!girl.
Did you burn yourself?
I did not! I'm not sure how as my nightgown is soaked, but my leaping away from scalding liquids instincts are apparently top notch.
Hurray for the end of radiation!
Big congrats to CJ on the great report card! Suzi, you weren't in my neck of the woods last weekend, were you? There was a big softball tournament at the park and I was tempted to wander around looking for you.
This weekend Henry is going to Las Vegas for a bachelor party. I have grand plans to do large scale cleaning and unpacking and rearranging, but I very well may spend a great deal of time watching The Wire since Netflix was kind enough to send me Season 1 Disc 1.
