OK, off to class! I hope I don't cry when I see the syllabus.
Spike's Bitches 31: We're Motivated Go-getters.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
just dedicated to ensuring that your job gets done. That's still important to you.
My job getting done shouldn't be more important than my physical or mental health, and I have put it ahead of both many times, just with this last head stuff. My motivation is too tinged with something, well, something like fear to be called dedication.
I do work 40+ hours a week, because the second job of teaching krav takes 6 more hours in just the doing of it, and variably many more in the honing. That is love too, and I have also often placed it higher than my physical health, partially because of how valuable it is to my mental stability.
Uh, if stable is what you call what I am right now. Non-homicidal might be a better way to put it.
Nora, I hope you don't cry too.
Yeah, teaching's pretty much a "gotta be there" thing, but I also take shitloads home to grade, lesson plans to work on, etc. But when it comes time to work on curriculum mapping over the summer, at first, they were going to make us come to the school to do it.
1) There's freaking summer school going on. My classroom is full of students, the lab is full of students. Where the fuck can I work?
2) I'm a fucking grown-up. And there is a concrete product that comes from my at-home work. If I don't have the product, THEN you can not pay me. Until then, I think I can work at home OVER THE SUMMER just fine.
They finally decided we could work at home. Jeez.
HAPPY BDAY, JZ!! Here's a little blues ditty I wrote for you:
Happy birthday, mama
I said, happy birthday, mama
I wish you a day of eating in bed, in your pajamas
Hapy birthday, mama
Staying non-homicidal is pretty important.
Good luck, Nora.
Staying non-homicidal is pretty important.
To that end, I think I need to grab dessert from the caf. Worked through lunch, see, because I have to leave early for a doctor's appointment. I did still take a small nap in my car to reduce the migraine of this morning.
Non-insan-o syllabus~ma for Nora.
ita, do you feel that krav balances out the negatives from your primary job? Or does it take more than that to bring you to a level where you can reasonably call yourself OK with life?
Emily and I have been extremely productive. We now have boxes to begin the packing process, a new air conditioner for my room (YAYAYAYAY!), a new fabulous cell phone for Emily.
Oh, and I got underware with ladybugs on it! I loves them, I do!
I like non-homicidal ita.
Although it might be fun to hold her jacket and watch if she ever needs to go postal on anyone.
I just talked with my advisor. She brought up the topic of how bad some of the posts for the class had been and needed me to explain to her what the emoticons were. She is going to talk to some people about it, since they aren't all her students.
Your advisor needs a rubric for assessing posts.
No, really.
