[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Sounds like a good day, Polter-Cow.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Yeah, he's publicly thanked me both in e-mails and in this latest meeting. So I feel kind of bad about its not being humanly possible for me to make my last deadline.

And cripes, we're going here.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

My boss is taking me out to lunch today to thank me for all my hard work and overtime the past couple weeks.

After working 22 days straight, that is the least he can do. I'm glad your work is not going unnoticed!

Well, unless you have an ascension in the works, human is all you have to work with. You'll do your best. No bad feelings.

I can't help it! I'm running behind! There's too much, and there's too little time, and I have too many standards to just half-ass it all and say I'm done. I've got to give it at least a 7/8-ass try.

P-C, I have been where you are, and all I can say is, work 15 hour days without a break for weeks on end, if you must, to get the job done. But do NOT beat yourself up for not doing more than is HUMANLY POSSIBLE. You are human. There are limits. The limits are a little tighter once you get into a 80-100 hor workweek without any breaks, but do not assume that the work would be better or easier if you were doing more or doing it better. If you did more work, there'd be even more work after that. That's all there is.

Signed, bought a house with OT money from last summer.

(was it worth it? Well, I have a house. But that has its own stresses. And honestly, I've never recovered from that work pace, which is one of the reasons I knew I had to move on from this job. I did it, by whatever means necessary, and I did it WELL, but it takes a toll.)

It's just a job. It's not my life. And the anxiety I got for 6 months straight without a break wasn't worth it.

It's just a job.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Felicitations on the Anniversary of your Natal Day, Jaqueline! And many happy returns of the day.

Hugs as needed to P-C, K-bug, Suzi, Cass (oops, too hot for hugs, right?), and any others.

I have a dentist's appointment in (checks watch) 55 minutes. Don' wanna go.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

Happies to JZ!

Stats officially got hard last night. I was still able to understand with some mental effort but I've got some serious studying to do tonight. Argh! Also, I was supposed to have a test tomorrow night but it got pushed to Monday, which is July 3rd, the day before July 4th. I don't have to work but I have to go to school? No fair! Also, feeling old due to young cute coeds in my class. There's one young woman (early 20s, I'd guess) who is so me at that age - black shoulder-length bob, 60s type style. Also with skinny body. I miss that. Ah well. 36 ain't so old, right? RIGHT???

I'm going to buy a digital camera. Finally. I'll still have lots of money left over after that, but that is one thing I can finally buy. I will ask for recommendations soon enough.

Yeah, I really can't take this much longer, so I hope July is better. Especially because I need to find a frelling apartment, and I've had NO TIME this month.

I also feel weird complaining because I know there are people who work this many hours regularly. I wonder if they cough a lot, too.
