No one else is up?

I fell asleep and had a super super creepy realistic dream about someone being in my bedroom.

I hate that! That happens to me a lot when I nap, and even when I fight to consciousness it sticks. The worst was dreaming that demon-imps that looked like gravelings from "Dead Like Me" were scampering about my room...before I'd ever seen "Dead Like Me." Man did I freak out the first time I watched it.

Ugh, papers. I think you can pretty much draw a straight line between Watergate and the loss of our civil liberties today, though. After Watergate, everyone sort of expects the government (esp the President) to Solemnly Swear He Is Up to No Good. People just assume that candidates and incumbents spy on each other, and it's an easy step to assume they then spy on the public.

Although, if it were me, I'd probably write a paragraph or two about how the real lasting impact is in the media appending "-gate" to the end of any government "scandal."

Huh. You could even make that serious, that "-gate" has become a cultural semiotic for "government overstepped the bounds of fair play again."

Ooooh, great line Raq. Of course, I have finally given up and submitted what I had. The brain is dead. It is after 2am and we have to be at the fields by 7:45 am. SLEEP for me (I hope).

Mostly lurking...

Poor K-Bug. Poor Suzi. Yay for getting the paper done, though.

I, fortunately, do not have a headache this morning. I thought I would sleep through the night for the first time in like a month, but I din't. Still got up around midnight for peeing and ice cream. I was only up about 15 minutes, though, which is good.

Busy day today. I have a feeling every day will be a busy day for a while. Craziness.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Would I be able to change sizes at will? Because that would be AWESOME
It really would be.

P and I were chatting about how it would be fabulous if we could trade breasts with each other sometimes. Her DH was rather less amused by the conversation. Which is silly, he's known us for twenty years, there is no way he hasn't heard the exact same conversation fifty times before.

I was only up about 15 minutes, though, which is good.
Oh that barely counts as being awake.

Kittenish is on The List as she knocked a vase of flowers off of a table twice tonight. The second time I was asleep when it happened. Notice the verb tense (and hey! my tension too) *was* asleep. Now? Well I'm posting. And will try to go back to sleep now.

Still too hot. Thank physics that tomorrow won't be such a scorched and hopefully this place will cool off enough to be bearable.

Yay for not having a headache, and sort of yay for busy days.

I have a pounding headache that has been untouched by Tylenol, coupled with swollen sinuses and a sore throat. I can decide if it's illness, allergies, or a reaction to the pollution.

Bad Kittenish for waking Cass up!

I would love to be able to scale my breast size up and down, as the situation called for.

Actually, I was going to say that none of my clothes really fit who I am, but it's more true that my body and lifestyle don't match who I am, so I fit the clothes to the body shape and demands of the life.

I'm awake. K-Bug is in the shower. I want my turn NOW.

Cranky much?

morning. it's a busy day on the street outside my office. they are filming a movie at one end and sucking out the sewers at the other. Not sure if they are related events or not.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Not sure if they are related events or not.

Thematically, perhaps.

I had a rather unsettling dream in which my ex and his parents just showed up at my house and would not leave, even though I was reduced to screaming and sobbing at them to leave so I could get my work done. This is improbable at many levels, one of them being that one those people has been dead for years.

I am suffering from post-deadline sloth, which I must shake off or meeting the next deadline will be just as ugly.

I hope K-Bug and Suzi have a better day today.
