Right, there comes a point where you have to either move on, or just buy yourself a Klingon costume and go with it.

So, I've been going through some of the junk that's accumulated in my room over the past several years and unearthed Stephanie Winston's Best Organizing Tips: Quick, simple ways to get organized and get on with your life.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

My cat is sitting on the recliner avidly watching the Chisellers episode of Life of Mammals.

That's a good episode. Rodents just don't get the airtime on other nature programs.

Mostly lurking...

I'm going to be a TOTAL bitch for a minute.

Not!Emily is in Sweden until July 10. His girlfriend has a key to the apartment so she can come check on his fish a couple of times. Apparently, she's been checking on the fish for the past three days and has decided that they need 24-hour care. Actually, I think it's that she doesn't own a fan and is too cheap to go buy one for her own apartment, so she's been hanging out here. The first night, I was all, "Oh, good to see you!" The second night, I was all, "Oh, your Chinese food must be here, since we didn't order any." Tonight I'm all, "GO THE FUCK HOME!"

Of course, I won't actually say that. I'll be all sweet and kind an wonderful and offer her a beer, but I'll feel it inside.

Thrive to spite them

I think you have every right to ask her to leave. It's your home and not hers and Not!Emily never asked if she could come over while he's out of the country.

He did, actually. Just not if she could stay for several days.

I really don't think he intended her to do this. Actually, I wouldn't even mind so much if she would ask. But, this just being here is driving me a little nuts.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

That's pretty ballsy of her, but it puts you in an awkward position if you don't want to be seen as bitchy.

Thinking "Go the Fuck Home" thoughts towards her on your behalf.

Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

She did this not because she could not afford to retire, but because she was strong, healthy and liked to keep moving.

I love the idea of working because I want to when I'm 80, but the idea of having to, not so much. That said, I'm very happy with my print.

I think I'ma go on an all-strawberry shortcake diet for the foreseeable future.

Last summer, I visited Oregon during strawberry season. I had strawberry waffles for breakfast and the most incredible strawberry shortcake for dinner. OMG, I would so go on an all-strawberry shortcake diet if I lived in strawberry country!

I just moved. I fear fire and damnation should I snark on others...

but I'll feel it inside.
You should say it out loud as well. Nicely, but it's not her place...

::points up:: See? Even you realize this.

They are a total revelation here... I used to think they were fine as fruits go but I never was a huge fan. Turns out? I'd never really tasted nummy strawberries before. Mmmmmmm...

Our wings are not tired.

Mmmm strawberries. I love Florida strawberry season. (Dec-Mar or so) We eat box after box of them. Yummy.

I'm all settled in the hotel. Went to visit the place I'll be working this week. The office manager had both of her parents there doing prep work for my arrival. Too cute.

Now I'm going to the restaurant downstairs in search of food. Then all alone with a book. This is like a mini vacation.
