Listening to Tim's podcast (Tim Gunn that is):
Vincent once gain in the Isle of Chapeau
Bwhahahaha!
I loved last night's challenge but I am BITTER that
Angela
didn't get eliminated however,
Katherine
did not do as Tim suggested so it's all
her
own fault.
PR serially: Also, I am soooo relieved that not only did
Bradley
NOT get eliminated
he
was in the Top Three.
And
Keith
is so the Cordelia of PR.
In the annals of depraved rhetoric:
Cal Thomas, the syndicated columnist, wrote last Thursday that it was “one of the greatest pro-American, pro-family, pro-faith, pro-male, flag-waving, God Bless America films you will ever see.”
Now, okay, you don't even need to know what movie he is talking about to know he needs the attention of somebody in ass-kicking boots. "Pro-male"?? Have males been so desperately discriminated against lately that they need their own privilege-preservations societies? And it is just me or is it weird how all those different categories -- faith, maleness, family, patriotism -- are presumed to have anything to do with each other, just because they are strong together in the same sentence?
The kicker is, the movie he's talking about? Oliver Stone's upcoming movie
World Trade Center.
Yes, a tale of gore and horror -- two thumbs cheerfully up!!
Landis failed a drug test: [link]
I'm amazed the guy refrained from saying "pro-white", because it sounds like he was thinking it. Maybe his editors thought that was going too far?
Thanks, Nilly! I feel bad about complaining about a little cold (espcially when I can stay home and drink tea and nurse it in quiet and comfort) considering what other people suffer. And, yet, I will whine about it anyway.
PR
I didn't get Bradley's outfit at all but loved the little collar on his dog and am glad he did way better than he expected on his birthday.
Angela
has got to go. I knew she wouldn't last night though when they called Katherine's outfit poorly executed. That's a death sentence usually (and should be I think).
heh heh Isle of
Chapeau! That Tim Gunn. Man I am dying to get to the SCANDAL! episode. I have an idea of what it's about but am trying hard to stay relatively unspoiled. it's hard!
Sumi, do you know about the fourfour? I think, maybe, Jesse introduced me to it. It is the funniest spot on Proj Runway blogging ever.

It's the Calli "yay" and "oh, crap" show!
I got called into an interview at a cool place: yay!
My manager's going to be out at the time my interview's scheduled, and one of us is supposed to be here to mind the store: oh, crap.
I discussed the issue with my manager, and he said, "Screw minding the store; they're gonna have to learn to cope anyway, might as well be now." yay!
The interviewers want writing samples. Almost all of my writing's been either covered by a corporate confidentiality clause (training manuals for pharmaceutical companies) or porn: oh, crap
More updates to this list as they occur.
I hadn't heard about the fourfour!
From Tim's take:
What I loved about Uli’s design was the risk. When I saw her select two disparate prints at MOOD, I was flabbergasted: one was Pucci-does-Battlestar-Galactica and the other was giraffe. Either one of them would be a challenge, but two? Silly me. I didn’t realize that Uli is a genius with prints. Truly. The only other designer I know who can compete with her is the incomparable Diane von Furstenberg. Congratulations, Uli!
"Pucci-does Battlestar-Galactica"
I love Tim.
Calli, good luck on your interview!

Because those of us who are part of the "tax-hiking, government-expanding, latte-drinking, sushi-eating, Volvo-driving, New York Times-reading Hollywood-loving, left-wing freak show" aren't true patriots, like the New York firefighters were....
