"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

Thanks Aimee and amych. I know. Body image stuff is of the very most boring. So I'll shut up now and instead think of how great it is to have survived another trip around the sun. Which is true and to think of next years big 35th plans which include a passport, geysers and whales....all good things.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

I can do a one-armed handstand and I have relearned how to do a backhandspring

You know, the backhandspring looks so filled with joy, it just makes me smile.

(Happy birthday, by the way!)

You really are the queen of vacation planning, aren't you? Happy birthday!

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Pfft. Not boring -- just hurting you when you don't deserve to be hurt. So enough of that and back to happy birthday!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

overheard in the office reminded me of ita today:

At least I had a meeting most people showed up to today. I so need to go home now.

And I'm not kidding. I'm at the end of my work rope--not in a bad way. Just in a nothing-left-to-give way. I used to have more.

Kat, you're *tiny*. And I will shake you until you believe it. Aren't you smaller than me now?

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I have worked really hard to get to this size and yet when I look in the mirror I don't look different.

Well, you look thinner from here. But you still look like you, which is a good thing in my book. When Cody described you the other day, he said "she's so pretty!" (Seriously.)

I think the handstand and the back handspring are amazing. I don't even have envy, just awe!

Kat's smaller than me (not that I think of myself as small anymore, but I did at one point in my life). Of course, last time I saw you, you were smaller than me too (well you were way buffer than I am, but also thinner). I guess it makes sense that she'd have to get smaller than me in order to become smaller than you.

Sometimes I even read my junk mail-that-really-isn't.

Holy crap:

The State of Maryland has just announced the most aggressive loan program in their history with the Live Near Your Work PLUS (LNYW+) Program! It offers you a mortgage loan that comes with agrant equal to 3% of your loan amount! Just use any State CDA loan program and purchase a home within 25 miles of your workplace (you can even work in the county and buy in the city!). You must be a first-time homebuyer and income restrictions apply (although they are quite generous!).

Looks like I qualify. Now if only I didn't feel like the future was a fuzzy mess.

Punishingly Intricate

Was that an email, Sara? if so, could you forward to me? My friends who just had twins are finally looking to buy and they need to know about that!

Not only do I not know what I look like right now (thought I was bigger, went skirt shopping, and sixes were too big), I haven't seen you in forever, so I'm doubly unsuited to judge.

However, Kat is tiny, and I think we can both agree on that.

I just saw my breasts in motion from a few angles (video-conferencing camera, thankfully not transmitting) in this top, and SHIT. I'm that chick. I definitely need to go home, and not wear this top to the office again.
