Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

Our friends in Sacramento just sent me this picture of Emmett playing with their daughter, India.

1. Cool glasses! There is NO question that Emmett is *your* son.

2. Cutiehead little blondie!

3. Emmett is entirely too grown. Make him stop.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

All the chicks are reconsidering giving the label of "REBEL" to Cheez Whiz-eating Scola....

You just KNOW that moldy rice from a tube is next on the menu.

hip deep in pie

There is NO question that Emmett is *your* son.

Seriously. I've only seen a few pictures of David and the resemblance is striking.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Hold on, are you saying they don't explode if touched by a boy?

Well, yeah. But they only spray you with a little bit of purple glitter. Nothing over the top.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

When I go to screenings where they're likely to be confiscating camera phones, I always make sure to leave a few tampons loose in my purse so the security guys don't dig too deep. Works like a dream most of the time.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

When I go to screenings where they're likely to be confiscating camera phones, I always make sure to leave a few tampons loose in my purse so the security guys don't dig too deep. Works like a dream most of the time.

That is clever.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Brilliant. I'ma have to remember that.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

I remember once when I was in college a friend telling me about her younger brother and a friend of his getting hold of a box of tampons. They'd unwrap them and use the little tube to shoot them at each other. And, of course, they'd skitter all over the place. They were finding them in corners for days afterwards. One, somehow, got into the piano ... which made practice interesting.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Cool beans! I just noticed that Cingular allows me to have an online address book, which means that when I view my bill on their website it presents me with names instead of phone numbers.

With the advent of so many address book applications on so many devices, I couldn't tell you many of the numbers of people I call all the time.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

There is NO question that Emmett is *your* son.

Seriously. I've only seen a few pictures of David and the resemblance is striking.

Heh - I wish I was as good looking as he is.

3. Emmett is entirely too grown. Make him stop.

He's 4' 7" now. His mom's only 5' 1".

Remember when he was only this big?

Cool glasses!

They're the protective goggles that came with his Nerf dart-gun.
