Well, I'd like one too, but I'm not rolling around on the carpet on my back, meowing insistently.
Not now, anyway,
'War Stories'
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

People and their cats. There is no explanation.
erikaja, This...
it's hard to explain what I like about "Deadwood"
...is a true utterance. People get it, or they do not.
Feh and double feh. The plumber(a different guy from yesterday) showed up around 12:15 and took a look around with his flashlight. At that time there was water around the water heater, but none around the floor drain. He agreed that there was no leak from the water heater(good), decided the water was coming from a crack or cracks where the wall met the floor(which, huh? That wall is right up against the next-door neighbor's wall) and that the floor drain was not clogged because there was no water around it. No charge.
Of course when I got back from work, there was water puddling around the drain. I tell you what, I am =not= staying home another day to wait for the plumber.
Waits for Sheryl's plumber, with a blackjack.
Yeah, Gus, it's true. I like the characters, and I like the use of language(above and beyond the awe-inspiring profanity) but I couldn't say that I watched it *because* of either of those things. It took me about four episodes to get past, well, "Yikes!"
You know, plumbing is fairly simple Anything to gravitic "Up" of the problem is the problem.
A whole new water heater installed likely costs less than a single "consult" with a plumber. I would start bitch-slapping people until someone apologised.
Cool. Gus gets to wait for my next service person...if he's not all "in the wind" in the District with Sheryl.
erikaj: You have caught on, I am sure about this, that Deadwood is about the formation of what we now call America. Sure, the language was different, and more profane.
Births often are.
Well, yeah, and I feel like I recognize, if not people, exactly, then types or themes that we're still dealing with. Culturally. And after a while, one gets used to all the "cocksuckers" (whitefonted for profanity) But I had a lot to overcome, going in. And it takes a while to get the hang of Milch-speak...at first I was watching stuff twice just for basic meaning, like it was Spanish. Now I don't have to. I'm half a smart, well, you know, these days.
I'm sorry, but isn't it safe to assume that most people would believe after the Rapture? I mean, shit, that's pretty incontrovertible, what with all the driverless cars and whatever.
Maybe these days folks would assume that driverless cars meant that the owner ran out of gas and couldn't afford any to the get the car back home.
