KIEV (Reuters) - A man shouting that God would keep him safe was mauled to death by a lioness in Kiev zoo after he crept into the animal's enclosure, a zoo official said on Monday.
"The man shouted 'God will save me, if he exists', lowered himself by a rope into the enclosure, took his shoes off and went up to the lions," the official said.
"A lioness went straight for him, knocked him down and severed his carotid artery."
Huh. It would seem that they scheduled the construction going on on the other side of my wall to start every night at the stroke of 5:30, after "everyone" has gone home.
sounds like a good reason not to stay at work after 5:30 to me.

Also, there was a department staff meeting where one of the agenda items was standardizing salutations in the database. I was like, "OOH! I have a position on this!" This other woman said, "It's your first day! You don't get to have a position!!" It was funny.
