Barbara said on The View that a woman breastfeeding on a plane next to her made her "uncomfortable". I wonder how uncomfortable Babs would be if she had a hungry, squalling infant in her face for the whole flight.
Right. I'd rather sit next to a nursing infant than a miserable infant, any day of the week. What complete asshattery.
Where the heck was the woman supposed to feed her baby—in an airplane bathroom?
Not that I agree, but I am sure Barbara would think: the bathroom, or pump and bottle feed in public.
It's a time-honored tradition!! (Remember, sweetie, I did the same thing. You'll be fine! Whee!)
I am sorry that the job fell through, though
What Juliana said, Emily, especially the you'll be fine and the sorry the job didn't work out.
I actually did the same thing, many many years ago, from DC to SF, and that worked out okay.

The airplane bathroom? I don't see how that's practical, not to mention not unpleasant.
Some people shouldn't wear Hawaiian shirts.
Creepy + security guard = extra creepy.
Are these two statements connected?
Are these two statements connected?
No, but my mind is going unpleasant places trying to link them.
I don't think "uncomfortable" is all that damning a word. I'd be uncomfortable in that situation. Doesn't mean I'd think the mother was wrong to nurse. Or that I'd be more comfortable next to a crying baby.
No, but my mind is going unpleasant places trying to link them.
Oh good, not just me then.
I probably would be a little uncomfortable as well, Strega, but I don't think I would say so as a (formerly?) reputable journalist on a national broadcast. My comfort level just isn't that important in the big picture.
The View crew also practically threw a party when Elizabeth what's her face switched to formula, giving off a strong, "about time, girl!" vibe. (No matter how many good reasons there are for making that switch for any given family, I still think that it's a weird sort of thing to celebrate.)
A telephone, a red balloon. A picture of the cow jumping over the moon. Three little bears sitting on chairs. Two kittens, a pair of mittens. A toy house and a young mouse. A comb, a brush, a bowl full of mush. A quiet old lady who whispers hush. Clocks and socks.
HAHAHA! Yeah. I could type the whole thing, too.
Goodnight stars, goodnight air, goodnight noises EVERYWHERE, beeyotch.
