Was this the thread where people were talking about the notable death rates of their 'hood? (It was erika, referring to Balmer, followed by sarameg, lisah, and then Toddson chiming in with DC stats, right?)

My mom called me at 7:00 tonight to make sure I was alive. The woman is a chronic worrywart, so I asked why. On the news tonight, they had a breaking news segment about 2 dead bodies found on the street that intersects with mine. I could quite literally throw a rock and hit the dead bodies, apparently. Neato.

I don't live in a high-crime area; at least, there's no more crime than any other average neighborhood. The news hasn't given details yet, but I'm guessing it's either a drug thing gone horribly wrong, or domestic violence.

(Oh, okay. I just didn't hide the bodies well enough.)

Cass, I might be a little allergic to avocado, too, but when it's in the form of guac I don't really notice. It's avocado! So yummy!

Ooh, I never actually get puffy, just tingly. Happened with the two cherries I ate yesterday, too. So far, so good with the lack of anaphalaxis.

It is! [Drupes that I'm allergic to, I mean.] So awesome! I kept wondering if I was just paranoid when I thought I was getting the (slight!) reaction from almonds or whatever.
