You really don't need new variations, ita.
Seriously, she really doesn't. Continued head-ma, though it doesn't seem to be making it to LA from here.

...okay, laundry is go. And Nora, I'm living in College Park, which is DC-adjacent.
Also. Has Baltimore gotten notably hazardous lately, or are we just telling everyone no to get shot, wherever they go? (and, yes, Homicide ref, but I kind of like the idea of having conversations that go "I'm going to the grocery store." "Okay. Pick me up some green beans, and try not to get shot.")
Nah, it's no worse than usual. I've seen some handwringing about OMG! so many shootings! Spiralling out of control ! this past week, but duh, that happens every summer when there is a heatwave.
Nothing cools you off like killin'!
Lord knows I've felt like shooting people the past couple of days...
speaking of which...
Dear diva scientists-
I've got at least 40 lbs, 3 inches and solid pair of 3.5 inch heels on you. You are a clot walking four abreast in a heavily trafficked hallway and you think I'm going to step off and wait for you to pass? Think again, assholes.
There was a scary home invasion/street robbery/car jacking spree here recently by one armed guy (who has been caught). He was making people go to their ATMs and give him cash and he was vacillating between being kind of polite (for a robber) and being pretty aggressive and angry. The weirdest thing about it was that he was performing these crimes during the middle of heavy rainstorms. That just isn't done!
I'm having sarameg's day, again.
The DC police chief has declared a crime emergency. Another one.

For a minute I was thinking that Allyson and sarameg should collaborate on a "Devil wears Prada" style book about working with scientists, but then I remembered that scientists are really, really boring.
