The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

What do you do when you want to break out of a rut?

Ummm Move to another part of the state/country
Color my hair
buy new shoes
Go see the BigGayPirate movie with people and rum

Maybe you can find a belly dancing class, or a fencing class, or come to SF for the weekend.

Frail my heart apart and play me a little Shady Grove

New shoes! Yeah.

SF: I'd kicked around the idea of training to Chicago this weekend, but rejected it for some reason.

Need to rethink this. Lee, you did it! These are great ideas. Thanks, sweetie!

Move to another part of the state/country

You know, when I was in the depths, I really thought about clearing out of here.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Did the 'l' word mess up your perk?

What, "lucky"? No, considering how supersexy you were when I saw you last, I can say that the perky is intact.

You should do that! There are lots of fun Buffistas there, including shrift now.

I really thought about clearing out of here.

Can I pimp SF? We've already got Juliana, and soon we will have Emily!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

LA's kind of nifty itself, you know.

Pfft Don't listen to ita.

She's clearly wrong.

I'm cranky. You should definitely listen to me, or I might do something unexpected.

Awww. It's always a memorable event, dancing with you.

I know! And I've got other friends there in addition to the scads of Buffistas. And the baby dykes walking around hand-in-hand, I just want to adopt them all.

Hi, ita! I've never been to LA. Is it wrong that I'm rooting for you to do something unexpected?

Is there something else we can listen to you about?

Unfortunately I think the unexpected things currently within my capabilities are sadly pathetic.

Right now my choices are between trying to sleep off the migraine without meds, or taking my second med of the day and heading for bed.

The unexpected choice would probably be going straight to bed. Which, for reasons I completely don't get, seems to be pretty impossible.
