I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

oh, then Sears for both would make more sense. Wish I was there to go shopping with you, am missing you terribly for some reason this week.

Laura wanted me to let natter know that she is on the road, lakehouse bound, and will not be back online until they arrive and get settled.

Sarameg, do you remember the model numbers for the toaster ovens? I need to get a new one too.

Well, because I didn't go to the grocery store yesterday -- I have to go today. And it's already 86 and there's a heat advisory. Well, at least the grocery store is air conditioned. (The buses are often NOT.)

Sumi, can you wait to go as late in the day as the buses will allow?

It's an inferno here, too, and I'm just snuggled up with the air conditioner and contemplating mopping the floors. (I live on the edge.)

The Boy just saw the first PotC movie Friday night when we went to some friends' house. I'm wondering if I can get him to go to a matinee of Pt. 2 today. (Because that way I don't have to mop the floors....)

Lee, nope. It was more that the various models with the stuff I'd use were well rated for those makes.

msbelle, I totally wish you were here to shop. As you can see, I haven't gotten out of the house yet. It's just a chore. Ah well.

I think I have sucessfully upgraded to Panther. Yes, I was running on an ancient OSX. And this was the most recent version I had on disk. I've had it since Xmas 05.

Oh well. The brands are a good start.

Art Crawl!!!

The last bus runs at 6 pm during the week and probably earlier on the weekend.

But I've already been there and back: the bus was lovely. Like stepping into a freezer compared to outside. The store wasn't too bad either.

I moved my bedroom fan to the dining room so I've got one in the living room and one in the dining room. (Ideally, I should have a ceiling fan in the dining room and or the living room -- but alas I do not.)

It's 86 in my bedroom and about 82 in the living room and 90 or 91 outside so without a/c I'm doing okay. I'm keeping it dark and mostly shut.

Eeep, Sumi -- just keep drinking a lot of water. (As if you didn't already know that. I just can't help getting all mom-like sometimes.)

And, I have successfully convinced The Boy to go see PotC in a few hours. Woot! I suppose that means I still have time to mop a floor or two, though. Bah.

Seriously - it's not that bad. I've got fans and my brita and ice.

Other tricks are putting a towel in the freezer and wrapping it around your neck for a bit, cold water foot soak and the ever popular frozen bag of peas hat. But at 80, usually fan motion, dark and not moving a helluva lot work ok. Just sucks if you actually try to do anything.

Robbie Coltrane back as Fitz on BBC America in October

Robbie Coltrane is back as "Fitz" in an all new Cracker on BBC America movie on Oct. 30. Coltrane, who just wrapped his scenes on the fifth Harry Potter movie, said yesterday that it took about "10 seconds" to get back under Fitz's skin even though it had been a decade since the last Cracker movie.
