But I understand. You gave up everything you had to find me. And you found me broken. It's hard for you.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Grrrrrreat, now I am earwormed too.

But "Desert Inferno" is ungood when my mom keeps calling and telling me where she can see flames. Her house is fine, by the way. Just a lot of people we've known are wondering if they still have homes.

This is when Fire = Bad.

::hums::

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Oh Cassie, so scary.

I just hope that no one is hurt.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

From Sophia's link: "it has been attributed to disrupted embryo growth due to a protein called 'sonic hedgehog'" Sonic hedgehog?!? Am I a bad person for laughing?

Also so cool to learn something new. Thanks Sophia.

Cass, I'm sorry that your mother is stuck waiting out this fire. I've only had to do that once, and it was a bit stressful.

Heh! Um, no.

Yeah, I remember a few times watching and waiting to see where the flames were going to go. Stressful, to be sure.

And fires are all part of nature, I know. It's just this one is so far out of control that it's hitting my stress buttons.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

It's scary, Cass. I hope the "burn each other out" option (or some other getting under control magic) comes to pass, and soon.

My weird brain:

I was emailing someone I don't know to tell her how very right she was, and then while I was making sure I had her name right I saw a picture of her, and she's so pretty that I felt intimidated. And now I want her and her husband to adopt me, because they're both ridiculously cute and talented and funny.

But I had to take a minute to convince myself that even though she was pretty, I could tell her she was smart, too. Does this make sense to anyone? Is this some guy thing I've picked up? Because I didn't understand it even when I was feeling it.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

You could practice by saying this to me, repeatedly.
