Every planet has its own weird customs. About a year before we met, I spent six weeks on a moon where the principal form of recreation was juggling geese. My hand to God. Baby geese. Goslings. They were juggled.

Thrive to spite them

There's an at home section that has the estimated delivery date and I think an estimated return date.

In your account section you can look up all the dvds you've rented since you opened your account.

Swouncing

Skipping to post-and-run, but still:

Please don't worry about me, due to the whole political situation around here, OK? I'm pretty much in the middle of Israel, far south of whatever is going on up north.

Of course, my sister - and her boyfriend - currently live in Haifa (where their university is - they both have an exam on Sunday), as well as one of my roommate's parents, and another former-roommate's two sisters live in Nahariya with their families, and her parents - and most of her mom's siblings, along with their families - are in Tzfat, and I could just go on and on - everybody has both family and friends there, Israel is too small not to have somebody you know somewhere. So it's not like everything is peaceful and quiet. But people have safe rooms in most of their apartments, and my sister said that they had only heard some noise and they manage to sit and study for their exam, and so forth. So, well - I don't know, I have no real conclusion, I guess. Just that we're OK and we could use all the good thoughts that could be sent to the area, I suppose. Oh, and please don't worry, OK? At least not too much, anyway.

[Edit: I have to log out in a few minutes, because of shabbat. So, shabbat shalom!]

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Shabbat shalom, Nilly. I hope everyone you know continues to be safe.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Stay safe, Nilly. Shabbat shalom.

Hey, Netflix devotees -- does your queue show when somethign has shipped? In other words, does it disappear off your queue?

Yes. In fact, you get an estimated arrival date, too. It shows when they ship out. I get email announcements, too, of when to expect them.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Nilly, exactly what Teppy said. Very glad for the update, too.

I can open a bottle with a key. Any key.

Piano key?

A turkey? A donkey? A key card? Dawn?

Sometimes I'd open a bottle by putting the bottom edge of the bottle cap on the edge of a hard surface (like a table) and then hitting the top of the bottle with the palm of my hand.

There's something cool about a technique like that, where you have to do it right or you'll hurt yourself. Or maybe that's just me.

Because books.

Thanks for checking in, Nilly! Stay safe.

I also get emails when they mail things.

Thanks, Lee and Cashmere!

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Nilly, I'm so glad to hear from you! We were worried.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Hello, Nilly! Stay safe!

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

A turkey? A donkey? A key card? Dawn?

The monks made the bottle opener from Summers blood.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Shabbat shalom, Nilly!
