I'm happy to report that my landlord has already come to check the toilet, apologized(!), and is now at the hardware store getting supplies to fix the problem. I wish everybody else's were as responsive!
yay for good landlords!
Flea had a baby? OMG congratulations!!!
Hi to the rest of you fucks as well.
Hi, Rio!! How are you enjoying our borough?
So far it has been pretty chaotic. We moved to Brooklyn, then we didn't really like living there so we found a place in Manhattan, then we found people to take over our Brooklyn apartment right away, but lo! the Manhattan apt wasn't ready yet, so we found a temporary sublet near NYU and we're supposed to move into the permanent place on Saturday but hey guess what, it turns out it STILL might not be ready and I am ready to go on a stabbing spree in the subway.
How have you been, Tom? What's new around here? How is David and Jacqueline's BABY?
we didn't really like living there

How have you been, Tom?
Pretty good. I got my apartment painted, and bought some new furniture.

What msbelle said, about the hope that your housing troubles being worked out soon.
?!?!
Well, OK, I really like Williamsburg. It is strange-looking and beautiful and I like all the bars and restaurants there and I like that it's quiet, and we had a HUGE apartment there, and I liked driving around, which you can't really do in Manhattan. And I feel like Brooklyn would be perfect to live in, if you'd lived in Manhattan for a few years and gotten sick of it and wanted a quieter, more low-key place to live. But I've never lived in New York. So I would look out our window, from which I could see, like, all of the LES, and it would be like a scene from Saturday Night Fever -- I was like, "I can see it, but I just can't reach it!" Because we have a young puppy I couldn't leave the house for extended periods of time, and we lived 15 minutes from the subway, so EVERYTHING took a really long time. I want to live in Manhattan long enough to get sick of it and move back to Brooklyn.
