That's not what making out sounds like -- unless I'm doing it wrong?

Shrift with pretty new hair!

Hiya, all. I was gone, hanging out with slashers in the wilds of Canada. But now I'm back and it's work-time again.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Very nice, shrift!

I had the fastest and easiest delivery in the history of ever (45 minutes from hospital arrival to birth).

Dag, flea! Go you.

OK, also, I know we have a movie thread and whatever, but can I just say how disappointed I am with the previews for My Super Ex-Girlfriend? So much potential, but so much woman-hating and yuck.

Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

Very nice length! And, looking at the non-hair parts of you, it must be noted that damn, you have a fantastic mouth.

What JZ said, shrift. Also, I saw nothing in that photo that looked like crap. Personally, I think you're adorable and I love your eyes and smile.

Speaking of hair, I'm going to a new hair stylist this Friday. Please to think all sorts of kind thoughts for me, because, frankly, while I enjoy getting my hair cut and having my hair cut, thinking about it a-head (yes, bad pun!) of time still scares me a bit. meep.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Oh my god, y'all.

Home. Home. Home. Thank ever-loving Jesus.

I don't know what's going to happen. The fall-out from today will come down over the next week or two and things could be really, really ugly.

At least my minion and I going out to suck down liquor after work kept him from being on the train that fucking caught fire. [Me: "I saved your life!" Him: "Yeah, wait'll tomorrow before I decide to thank you or kick your ass."]

But I'm home. I have beer (not enough). I have Fernet that I went several miles out of my way in the middle of a transit crisis to acquire (too much). [I have brother who called from Moscow with a life crisis on my way home - is it wrong to be glad that the Russian phone system is so bad we lost the connection three times and he finally stopped calling back?] I have dog who...goddammit, now? No way, you can chilll for a bit.

Who'dve thought that a three am dog gastric emergency would be the high point of my day.

And oh, fuck, I forgot to call someone whose birthday it is.

And I have no one to make out with.

In conclusion, can this day just be over please?

Dag, brenda. That does not sound like a good day. If you go to bed right now, it will be over, though.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I am watching right now! It was the Veto Challenge, and Janelle won, but she didn't use it. Although they were tossing around taking Danielle off and putting Will up.

Dr. Will continues to be awesome, FYI.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

shrift, if that's your version of "looking like crap", you can be assured you're beautiful! And, nice hair!

flea, I didn't know labor could physically be that short!

brenda, good grief, what didn't hit the fan today? May tomorrow be better!

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

As someone who has met shrift, while the picture is a good one, she is much more incandescent in person. Hard to believe, but true. And the hair style is just perfect. Much easier to go either up or down at that length and it all looks good.

tommyrot, have you seen this? Go UW!
