When I decided to break my slothful weekend routine and go on a day trip to St. Louis, I had no idea exactly how much excitement I was getting into. A couple hours ago I ended up in a high-speed game of chicken on the highway, having to swerve into the median to avoid a head-on-collision with the crazy son of a bitch that was driving north in the southbound passing lane of I-55. Managed to get my car back on the highway unaided (unlike last time), but I think I may need to start keeping a gun in my car if this sort of thing is going to keep happening.

Ack, Matt! I'm glad you are okay.
I just hope everyone else on the road is, crazy driver excepted. When I got my car stopped and ready to return to the highway, there were cars coming from behind me in both lanes, which may indicate that the nutjob veered offroad too, or that they just broke into two lines again after dodging him.
Also, my cell phone will not dial directory assistance or the operator in that part of Missouri.
Another Ack. I hope the rest of your weekend is calmer, or at least less scary.
Thanks. Hopefully it will be, as I plan on spending it in my apartment.
That sounds like a good plan, all things considered.
Oy. Matt, that sounds horrible. I'm glad you're okay.
And I hope that Allyson is marshalling forces for an onslaught. That bathroom thing is ten kinds of wrong.
That's terrifying, Matt. A similar thing happened one time when I was a kid driving with my parents. Sadly for my father, my mother and I were both reading or napping or something, and missed the whole thing until it was over, so he was all alone in his trauma.
HMOG!! That is too scary. So glad you are safe Matt.
I overslept. no church for me.
So, I caught the end of a bit on the news about "...e. coli...Take care when bathing infants and the elderly that they don't drink the water." But it's not a "top story" in either of the places I went looking, so it's safe to assume it's a problem in some small area not-here, right?
