I should say, in my experience, basically none. Because people's experiences vary so widely by state and district and every other level where curriculum decisions are made. I seem to recall the food pyramid, but that's about it.
I need to put in laundry, but I still feel like at this point I'm just focused on staying awake for another five hours.
All the nutrition stuff I remember was about the Canada food guide, but it definitely didn't go into any detail.
And now I think the food pyramid is a load of shit anyway -- grain industry propoganda.
There might have been a little nutrition in one of my health classes, but it wasn't much. It's one of those things that can trigger the "don't tell me how to raise my children" response, I think. Though I've seen news articles that imply that there's more of a push to teach nutrition today than when I was in school. It's just rumor afaik, though.
I think we were supposed to learn how to eat from PSAs in Saturday morning television.
no nutrition in my schooling, that I remember.
They seem horribly hard to me
one is writing a list of things with some descriptions (I will fill in stuff like measurements later), the other is moving small things from a bag about 5 feet from me to a flat spot, shooting them - then later if I am still awake, uploading the pics and writing descriptions. plus a money motivator.
ita - any veggies you do like? mushrooms, asparagus, spinach ?
Huh. Today would be a brilliant day to do laundry, wouldn't it?
I don't think I will, though. Today is sorely needed for not doing anything of moment at all. No work, no exercise, no social engagements. Not even a movie, even though I'm curious about that Prada one. TV, reading, interweb, eating. That's all.
It's my gift to my head. Brain. Skull. Whatever's giving me the headaches. Irritatingly I've had another upswing in the concussion site hurting. I'm so over that concussion. I have no words.
I think I'm buying a fan. Tomorrow.
Not even a movie, even though I'm curious about that Prada one.
It was super cute, I tell you what.
any veggies you do like? mushrooms, asparagus, spinach ?
I love mushrooms, but they don't count. What I need is leafy raw greens, mostly. The closes I get to that (I do like spinach, but cooked. And with cheese) is not disliking broccoli. Unfortunately I can't eat as much crunchy food with the headaches.
It's stupid. What I have to do is eat food I don't like. But if it comes down to a choice between leafy greens and getting the day's calories or protein, the veggies are going to lose every time. And it does come down to that more often than not.
So I feel like I could go to bed for the night RIGHT NOW. What time do you think I would wake up if I did that?
