The worst-recent-blind-date I was on included a guy who pretty much insulted me, the way I live my life, and then expected me to change all that just because he told me to. Fun.

Good grief, that's ridiculous! I'm sorry. At least I just had fun silly stories!

I'm having very good luck meeting women who....live very far away. Sigh.

Always Anti-fascist!

My father liked making waffles till he figured it out, but once he got them perfect, they were not challenging anymore so no more waffles. Yeah, I've eaten my share of frozen ones...not the same. But pleasant enough.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Going outside was a stupid plan.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oh, that's classy. What's wrong with people??

I really don't want to go outside, but I really have to do laundry. I think I can wait until early evening.

Hey, I got to whine and feel like the truth and justice and all good things are on my side. Several times, to several different people, including even my parents. I turned out pretty OK, all things considered.

I'm having very good luck meeting women who....live very far away. Sigh.

Ouch. In USA standards, that's probably really far away.

One of my former roommates ended up marrying a guy who lived extremely far away in Israeli terms. Something like 4-5 hours by car. They spoke on the phone a lot, got to meet half-distance a lot, and when things became serious, both moved to somewhere around the center (that's how she became my roommate), not only for that reason, but it played a major part. Still, in USA long-distance, I can't see it work. Sigh, indeed.

Yeah. I couldn't even imagine what he'd be talking about.

Very.

I hope the date was a short one, Nilly.

Oh, and I love it that y'all jumped to my defence!

I wasn't insulted - he didn't matter to me one bit, so it's not like I took what he said to heart. It was just so strange - what did he expect?

[Edit: Tom, it was 1.5-2 hours. But at least when it ended, it was obvious we'll never have to speak to each other again, so no embarrassing phone calls later.]

Heh. Yay for lack of embarassing phone calls, at least. But yeah, sounds like he was crazy. Yeesh. Good luck finding a girl, dude!

Still, in USA long-distance, I can't see it work. Sigh, indeed.

Heh. One of them is in a whole other country...though actually closer than the one who's in the US.
