The pods are to break up a loft, right, and add the inhabitable bits that require water, no?
It looks like the apartments are otherwise standard-- I don't see a overarching design purpose, just...marketing a kitchen that's a lacquered closet.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

I've never lived in a loft, or even visited one, now that I think about it, so I don't think of them as standard.
marketing a kitchen that's a lacquered closet.
And bathroom. Don't forget the bathroom.
What an annoying site, and a bother to load as well. Which doesn't bode well for the liveability of it all. Talk about your vanity housing.
My former roommate has a loft-style condo. Way high ceilings, which helps when she's practicing bojutsu. I like it, but I'm enough of a non-minimalist that I know it's not for me.
Speaking of non-minimalism, I bought a kitchen table and chairs the other day. We got word at my office that job cuts won't be implemented until next year, so I splurged at Target. [link]
"I can't come in to work today; I have a bad case of wazoo-blockage."
"Can't come in. I've got some bojangling to do."
Speaking of bad design: [link] (there are a couple of lightly clad persons that MAKE NO SENSE in an advertisement thing, but I suspect the horrid horrid tile is more shocking. YMMV.)

I like the horse stable connected directly to the kitchen.

I don't get the pods/ Do they spin around and move throughout your apartment? If not, WTF?
I, too, thought the kitchen with the horse at the end was funny!
