'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Sometimes I can force myself to wave my hands and say "that's how it works in TV Land..." but really, it's so annoying when they get important details that could have been easily worked into the plot wrong. You'd have had to tinker with the plot engine a little, maybe change who the bad guy was or the motive, exactly -- but you could have done it pretty easy. Which is just capital-L Lazy.

What is even happening?

I do the handwave thing too, Theo. I pretty much interprete every TV show as fantasy, with its own 'verse, mythology, and rules.

I'm glad you ranted Consuela. I saw that ep and most of that just passed me by, knowing little about archeology or US law.

Msbelle, that dress is gorgeous.

I dreamt about being in NY for the last two nights. It's all kind of a blur now, but msbelle was in night one.

Art Crawl!!!

Ah - I remember the supposed Caucasian remains thing. Of course, I wasn't really paying attention to the case either time I watched the episode -- it's all about the Epps family for me.

It is a mystery to me how I could have an ATM slip from 12/21 still in my wallet. How could I have missed it during several thorough cleaning-outs since then?

In other news, I figued out how to have my credit card bills downloaded into Quicken, which is both nifty and useful.

The new A/C is in. Much more work that I thought it would be, including sawing through the metal in the window guards in order to get them out. LOUD!

But it is in, and it is on, and that is a good thing.

Still left for my handyman, installing A/C support bracket for the already installed A/C. I got fined $250 last year for not having one.

Also done this morning:

litter boxes
trash removal
listed 2 things on freecycle
started a bag for thrift store donation

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I don't know why I haven't had an air conditioner fall out the window yet, really -- I don't screw it in anywhere, I don't prop it up on the window sill, I just stick it in there and pray!

I have done nothing yet today. I should do laundry and take stuff to a tailor.

I've been thinking about maybe coming in September, actually.

We're supposed to be getting torrential rain here today (probably what you guys got yesterday), so I'm thinking I should stick close to home. I should probably go to the grocery store before the torrents start.

Torrential is right! It was literally like being in the shower out there yesterday.
