That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

I'm at work, but have done very little Actual Work. I did finish my final paper that I have to go turn in tonight.

Motivation, like pie, is gone.

I only have tomorrow off because I took it as a vacation day, otherwise I would be working too.

Me, too, Lee. I decided I needed a vacation day and a pedicure.

Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

Bah. I have to work tomorrow.

I have to work tomorrow and Monday. I do get Tuesday off. Also, Friday and Monday aren't slacker days. In fact, I may need to come in over the weekend.

I love my job. I love my job. I love my job...

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Me, too, Lee. I decided I needed a vacation day and a pedicure.

I may try for the pedicure on Monday. Tomorrow is for sleeping, brunch shopping and cleaning.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Of course, my team has been given all of next week off with pay as a reward for making our deadline and not killing anyone, so I suppose I'll just have to suffer through tomorrow.

That's awfully nice. At least, if you have to have the deadline from hell, you get a reward at the end.

And you get to go to Vegas! (that is this weekend, not next, right?)

I do! Nice that I'm taking two vacation days in my first month on the job. Good thing they're cool.

Bag the crypto. Say what is on your mind.

Had a lifetime-best lunch today. It was all cilantro and air-y crunchiness that effervesced directly into the amygdalae, with conversation that ranged from string-theory up to quarks and hence to galaxies.

Damn, I wish I could cook like that.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

My new co-worker gave me some fresh catnip from her garden. This could be interesting, as Boots has only ever encountered the dried stuff.
