I am not...I am not the damsel in distress. I am not some case. I have to work this. I've lived in a cave for 5 years in a world where they killed my kind like cattle. I am not going to be cut down by some monster flu. I am better than that. What a wonder...how very scared I am.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

The only thing with wearing shorts while doing touristy things, regardless of your age, is if you're going to be popping in and out of air-conditioned interiors. You can get really cold inside, and have to go outside to feel comfortable again. Capris would be a good alternative.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yeah, who gives a shit? I doubt she's going to be actively avoiding looking like a tourist the rest of the time, you know? Edit: My point is, your mom should wear whatever she wants!

Crop pants. Racks and racks and racks of them. Does no one wear actual pants any more?

Last time I went shopping, all I could see were WORK SHORTS. WORK. SHORTS. GAH!!!

It is shocking how empty Wall Street is at 6:30, compared to 5:30.

Bag the crypto. Say what is on your mind.

All of you people who are putting 80> people in shorts should go somewhere and spank something that is < 80.

Here is my firm rule. 80? No shorts.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Oh, look! It's 6:40 and I'm leaving work! Before 7! Did I mention that I'm leaving work now and it's not even 7pm let along 9 or 10? WooHoo!!!!!

My grandmother looked cute in shorts in her 80s. Although she hates them, so I think she's stopped wearing them. But she still has great legs!

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Thanks, juliana. I had no idea.

I had no idea there was such a thing as "work shorts" either. Big learning day for me.

I have gone to interviews with wet hair, because I have a lot of hair and if it's humid out it can take hours to dry. But I always pull it into a really sever style and the wetness is not so noticeable.

For my interview tomorrow I think I have settled on off-white twin set (sleeveless top and unstructured jacket), black pants with white pin-dots, and black & white tweedy/stripey shoes with pink trim. Acceptable?

THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS WORK SHORTS!! I don't understand where they think all these people work, that they can wear shorts.

That sounds lovely, -t.

They all work here at the Evil Software Empire. I've seen *waaaaaay* too many women wearing those "work shorts" things lately. With tank tops, crocheted sweaters, and flip-flop/thong sandals. And yes, they all stare confusedly at me.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS WORK SHORTS!!

Unless you're a postman.
