move out and draw fire

if you want something that's relatively inexpensive and has a shitload of bang-for-the-buck, have you considered the Subaru WRX

SO much fun to drive! But the interior is very stripped-down rally car. Not comfortable like a Passat.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

But the interior is very stripped-down rally car.

Hmm. I wish all of this didn't require actual energy expenditure.

Sounds fun, though.

Bag the crypto. Say what is on your mind.

I have had the same MB 300e since 1988. It has gone in and out of "cool" about three times. I think it is currently out, or maybe not. I don't really care. It is all kinds of paid-for.

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

ita--the experience my family has had with Subarus is mostly negative. They have a tendency to break down pretty rapidly. I'm a Honda girl myself. At least, until I can afford this.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I've considered buying a MB 300e of that vintage. I figure I should own at least one car that gets better than 20 mpg on the highway, at and some point I'll have to replace my midsize '85 LTD cop car in that role....

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

I have a Subaru and love it. So far, no mechanical issues and I've had it 3 years (knocks on wood).

ChiKat! Did you get my phone message? We have to arrange plans for this weekend.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

Suburus tend to have electrical systems that need a fair amount of charging. If you drive a moderate to large amount no problem. If you only drive a couple of miles a day or fewer for an extended period of time you will have big problems.

Signed

My family has driven nothing but suburus for the past 15 years.

tommyrot: Ping me. I can't drive it any more. It is an '87. Gas. Will need a timing chain soon. Two rust spots (on leading edge of sunroof, on splash panel of left front wheel-well rim). Otherwise ... shiny paint. I mean shiny.

Leather all good. Oh, wait. There is a blood stain on the front passenger seat. You can't miss it. It looks like a lady had a semi-serious Kotex failure. However, it was actually from a dog that got ill ...

See? This is why I never went into sales. Ping me.
