And the pretty prezzie is... an utterly goofy hat that I've been loving and lusting after at the Valencia Street hat store since forever. Black velvet with green silk lining, very long and pointy and Seussian, rather like one of the hats worn by Katharine Hepburn's pretty but shallow sister in Holiday. The SF2F thrifters may have seen me trying it on and cooing over it and then sighing and putting it back. And now it's MINE.
