What did/are people having for dinner?

I had lamb chops with roast potatoes and a glass of white wine. Tasty, despite being undercooked two steps from what I asked for, but I doubt I'll be trying this new place again given that I dropped over $30 on the meal and felt like I should still pick up a hamburger on the way home from the restaurant.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Matt! I watched Sgt Kabukiman, NYPD over the weekend. I'd been wondering where your tag came from.

I had lamb steaks last night. Yummers. There are more at home.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Crap. I forgot I was supposed to try again to refinance my student loans tonight, AND I got a thing in the mail that a credit company has decided that one of the fraudlent accounts is, in fact, my responsibility. All of which I just thought of just now, right when I'm supposed to be going to bed. Motherfucker.

And I don't know what I'm going to wear tomorrow.

It's a hoot, isn't it? I love the scene where his attempt at transformation goes wrong and he turns into a clown.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

What did/are people having for dinner?

Chile-mint burgers, green beans, an strawberries.

Yay for your neighbor, sarameg! Cool beans.

Some of it is stuff like Rock Creek Parkway, which goes right along the Potomac, so it floods instantly. And then since it's hilly and overdeveloped we've got all these suburban roads that turn into rivers because there's nowhere else for the water to go

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I had chicken sausage with garlic and red peppers over a bowl of lettuce.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

Dinner was an oh-so-exciting peanut butter and raspberry jam sandwich, followed by some chips and salsa later.

I should have said: A LARGE deadline, involving many people and many parts, and we only just decided to do it today, and the other key person gets back to her office tomorrow, after 2.5 weeks away.

Er, yikes?

We've had to threaten mass rebellion when they want to schedule a major software install within 2 days of a holiday.

I've got a software upgrade I need to do July 5th. Despite it not being my responsibility anymore (I decided to do it myself instead of passing it off to our lone field tech because he's horribly swamped. I just have to hope it doesn't bog down our WAN) and me telling the vendor that July 5th was bad day because we're going to be short-staffed and it was already iffy since I was going to have to be covering the phones while doing the install anyway.

This is coming after we did an in-house upgrade a couple weeks back (that required the users to delete their old shortcut and install the new client) was done the evening before the field tech at the local hospital went on vacation and one of the help desk people was in our corporate office for training. That was a nightmare.

Crap. I forgot I was supposed to try again to refinance my student loans tonight, AND I got a thing in the mail that a credit company has decided that one of the fraudlent accounts is, in fact, my responsibility.

Ouch. Is there anything you can about it? I just got a letter in the mail today saying someone broke into one of the offices of my insurance provider and stole two laptops and a server with client information on it, and to watch my credit history for fraud. Which is scary after the recent tales of woe here.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Well, nothing I can do about it now, but I'll definitely call in the morning and raise some hell.

Deadline or no, I'm excited to be going out of town this weekend, anyway.

Isn't there a July 1 deadline for loan consolidation under current rules? (sorry to be a downer if there is. My info is partially heard public radio.) Also, CONTEST CONTEST the fraud shit. I'm so sorry you have to go through this. I wish you could nail the person who started this, be it theif or moron who didn't secure their data.

It's not a consolation, but your experience has probably made enough of us paranoid enough to be proactive. Sucks to be a lesson, though.
