I've really got to learn to just do the damage and get out of town. It's the 'stay and gloat' that gets me every time.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Does clafouti taste eggy?

Not in my experience, but I habitually cut the eggs in recipes and I haven't had any that was not made by me.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

In other food news, I forgot that board meeting today means leftover food! So I'm having leftover breakfast for lunch (mini bagel, mini muffin, fruit salad), and I'm sure there will be leftover lunch later if I need a snack. Sweet.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I'd bet the texture is too eggy for you, although I wouldn't say it tastes eggy.

I can deal with the texture, as long as there isn't that (to me) nasty sulphury 'rotten' egg taste.

I have discovered something annoying: there are lilies that smell, there are lilies that don't smell, and there are lilies that I can only smell when I'm pre-migraine. This is annoying because smelling lilies sends my migraine over the edge, stat.

This week I bought roses.

Swouncing

I'm sorry that I'm ignoring all ongoing conversations, but may I ask for some good vibes?

My baby brother is serving right where the soldier was kidnapped yesterday. He was supposed to finish his military mandatory service yesterday, but when the attack happened and the soldier was kidnapped, all leaves were off. He has no idea if they're going to need him to stay there or not (he's a medic, and they're short on those, so they may have him stay despite everything). My parents obviously, are freaking out. Nobody knows when he's going to be home. And that's on top of the stress of the whole country on account of what is still going on, politically.

And then I get a phone call from my best friend. She's pregnant, had a sore throat last week, and things deteriorated so badly by today, that she's hospitalized in order to get fluids. They don't allow visitors where she is, so I can't even go visit her, and they frown on cell phones, so I can't call nearly as often as I would like.

I don't even know whom to think about first. There's absolutely nothing I can do (and anyway, I have to go out in a few minutes, to a blind date. In which I'll have to be focused and at least try to get to know the guy and be myself enough that he gets to know me). The one thing that I can do is ask for some good thoughts to be sent. General ones, because this is all so tricky for my little brain to be able to figure out specific requests.

Thanks for being here. Freaking out to people I don't have to calm down about anything is a good, letting-out-steam thing to have.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

It occurs to me now that it would be a good word to use for pronunciation exercises.

So, how DOES one pronounce it?

When my sinuses are finally clear, I may have to make it.

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

So, how DOES one pronounce it?

clah-foo-tee, with no syllable stressed.

It would be good for French class as a word that contains three basic vowel sounds.

Edited to send good vibes Nilly's way.
