Gunn: The final score can't be rigged. I don't care how many players you grease, that last shot always comes up a question mark. But here's the thing. You never know when you're taking it. It could be when you're duking it out with the Legion of Doom, or just crossing the street deciding where to have brunch. So you just treat it like it was up to you—the world in balance—'cause you never know when it is.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

omg, can someone do my work for me please? I feel like I might be sick at any moment and my whole body hurts.

Canadaigua Lake is beautiful for a wedding-- are they doing it in the big hotel there?

If that's the Inn by the Lake, then yes. I've been dreading the drive (6 hrs. +/- on Rt. 90), but looking forward to the actual event. The groom and bride are sticking around until Tuesday as well, and there's a trip planned Monday into Rochester for lunch at some BBQ joint where they know a bartender (who I think is one of the Groom's men).

I was best man at his first wedding, but between that marriage imploding, and only very intermittent contact in the last few years, I'm not surprised to only be a guest this time around.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Ugh. Migraine, or something else?

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

RIP Harriet the Tortoise:

Harriet the tortoise, one of the world's oldest known living creatures, has died in Australia aged about 175.

Senior vet Dr John Hangar told Australia's ABC that Harriet, a Giant Galapagos tortoise, had died of heart failure after a short illness.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

What day are you leaving, Aurelia?

Tomorrow, if I can aggregate my fecal matter.

I'm thinking I might even leave early enough that I won't be arriving in the middle of the night. Presuming the car doesn't conk out in Grand Rapids like it did last year.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Oh, dear lord. I so prefer the Powerbook keyboard to this Compaq nc6230. Or, at the very least, I'm more used to it and don't double damned post.

Oh, poor msbelle.

I have no plans for the weekend past the usual other than going in to fight the blue belt candidates. One of them gave me a lump on my forehead, and she needs to pay.

Uh, I mean I'm doing this for their own good.

I'm currently in a panic meeting at work for a project that's not mine--I'm being the transcriber. I'm too anal for this sort of stuff. It makes me fall behind in note-taking. Plus I need to pee. And they're having a discussion on the other end of the lab that I've been ignoring.

Still! Free lunch including brownies and lemon squares.

Damn! I need to go back to my desk anyway for meds. Curse this chemical leash.
