This is so nice. Having everyone together for my birthday. Of course, you could smash in all my toes with a hammer and it will still be the bestest Buffy Birthday Bash in a big long while.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

That reminds me. I'd been meaning to make a Levenger run to get a new folio--the vendor-supplied folio and the krav-supplied folio are lame.

::checks Levenger::

Okay, maybe I'll stay with the freebies a little longer.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Happy Anniversary to Fred Pete & Hubs and to amych and her DH!

Am very tired. Last couple of nights I've had a bit of trouble falling asleep. My brain just won't shut down(or up). That, plus waking up a couple of random times has left me with deep dark circles under my eyes. Sigh...

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

HGTV show Freestyle? Apparently, not so free afterall.

You know, the first time I watched that show, I said out loud, "If THAT guy had THOSE votive candles randomly in his house already, I'd be shocked." OK. Freestyle? Dead to me.

Was the Freestyle conceit (didn't read link, am lazy) that it was all done with stuff found around the house already?

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Was the Freestyle conceit (didn't read link, am lazy) that it was all done with stuff found around the house already?

Yup. Except it turns out that the sooper-seekrit conceit is that it's all stuff found around the house already plus whatever one large item of furniture the householder agrees to buy at his/her own expense on the designer's orders, and if the householder doesn't want to play along then, presumably, the householder doesn't get to do the show. Humph.

Plus a sooper-seekrit $200 budget for incidentals like votive candles and extra pillows and stuff that the designer then just happens to find lying around your place. @@

Shit's all sorts of different now.

There's a show on A&E called "Find & Design" where they go to flea markets and yardsales and such to redesign a room. During one of yardsales, they approached us to "buy" something from our yardsale. They had really just purchased it from Pier1 and wanted to plant it in our piles of stuff and then "buy it" from us.

Not that I would know or anything.
