Corn gelato sounds yuck to me. You people probably like halo halo and other corn-oriented desserts, huh?

Happy anniversary to Fred Pete and amych and their respective hubbies!
The fellow bellowed (former Marine general, no less) "I should pee in YOUR yard!" I allowed as how he should, he really should. He seemed mollified. I was mortified. It was 'fied.
I think my response would have been "if your dog pees in my yard it's tit-for-tat. If YOU pee in my yard, it's indecent exposure."

Corn is very sweet, though. It's practically fruit! According to the Argentines at Cones, corn gelato is "Brazil's favorite." ETA: it has a very mild flavor and is flecked with tiny corn pieces.
This post brought to you by catching up on Criminal Minds
have you gotten to the season finale yet? there's some serious pretty there.
Called the doctor who did my ankle surgery to look into getting an appointment, and he's retired. Oy.
Oy vey, Dana!

I believe that many many people enjoy corn desserts. I am just not one of them. Really, I'm not a fan of corn in general, except when it's just been picked and I can eat it with a ton of butter and salt. Oh, or in black bean salad, but then it's really just for color.

He probably considered your ankle a masterpiece he could never top--although he tried, fruitlessly. So he had no choice but to retire.
I like cornmeal pudding.
bon, how did bob not let you have anchovies?

HAPPY ANNIVERSARIES FRED PETE HUBS AMYCH AND DH!!!!!
Good thing we gave all those tax cuts to the middle class instead of the rich, seeing as the rich are already doing so well....
Sighh... yeah. They're destabilizing my building like crazy. My whole neighborhood, actually. Market rate for my 200 sq. ft. apartment (with a new kitchen) is $1,800. Hell, my income in only 'middle class' for a single person because I live in NYC and with a moderate amount of debts being paid off I can barely make the $1,100 I pay for it.
I think, in order to have one, cities really need to commit to having a middle class these days. Permitting rampant destabalization (f.y.i. - there is a difference betweend 'rent stabalized' and 'rent control'. the former means the rent can only go up a certain percentage a year but it does go up. the latter is almost nonexistant anymore) is pretty much declaring we don't want one.

Lovely thought, although my guess is that he ran out of room to store the buckets full of money and had to buy a second house in the Bahamas. Not that he didn't do a good job.
I now have an appointment with another orthopedist on Tuesday. Technically, everyone was full up for a month, but they said it was "reasonable" to squeeze another person in. I'm sure this means I'll be waiting for an hour before anyone sees me, but for a large medical conglomerate, they're pretty good at getting me appointments that aren't too far out.
ita, did you look at my bruise? How does it rate?

He said it typically overwhelms the taste of the pizza, and I pretty much agree, even though I was craving them last night.
