Oh blessed internet, how I've missed you. It's been all of 48 hours.
I am getting new floors in my living room and hallway. So I shipped the cats off to be boarded at the vet for the day. (Otherwise I figured Clio would end up a cat shaped bump under the floor.) I bought a new soft sided cat carrier this weekend, and I put Clio in it this morning and within 10 minutes she escaped. Zippers are too easy for that cat.

When I left the house, the cats were already beginning to slump into melted little sacks of furry protoplasm... and it's only going to get hotter.
And both the bus and the Red Line were conspicuously un-cooled, and even the new-ish Green Line car was warmer than one wants. Work is AC'd, but it's taken me a good half hour to cool down enough to think....
