I swear to you, I've looked in drugstores, grocery stores, dollar stores, and the sporting-good section of some department store I can't recall the name of. It's a conspiracy!
Hardware stores didn't occur to me, though. Next time I get filters for the AC I'll look. The sneaker idea is a good one, too. I have a cheap pair that I only really wear on the Nordictrack so they're not ooky.

They sell plastic spikey balls at BB&B as non-chemical fabric softeners, I bet those would work.

I think a shower is in order. Then a cold beverage.While making my cold beverage, I managed to spray myself with club soda. I'm not sure if that counts as a shower, or if it's a good reason to save the shower for after the beverage.
Because there were no tennis balls, I got a cool pirate board game that was ridiculously expensive. But it came with adorable little pewter ships as pawns!

Pet stores usually have them too. Though in my house they seem to spontaneously generate, so I've needed to buy any.
It's possible the dog could shed some light the matter, but she's too busy chewing something round and fuzzy. Wonder where that came from?
