My boss has decided that he wants me to work Sundays. For a while it's been one Sunday a month to get our journal out. Now, it seems, he's trying to make it necessary for me to come in every Sunday. He's out today and I've gotten just about everything that I could done - plus some that are another part of my job.
and are you getting comp days for this?
(falls on floor laughing)
If you're working Sundays, then when are you playing with the beads?
Evenings, Saturdays ... not nearly enough.
That motherless fuck, Toddson.
Which I think is my favorite Sopranos curse. Because you've got to suck a lot for your mother not claim you.
Thanks for the kind words for me ... and really harsh ones for my boss. The thing is, in DC working weekends is kind of normal. Most of my friends work even longer hours than I do.

yes, but not every weekend.
Metaphorically cuddling my Buffistas, I'm going home. Work done, cell phone OFF, I'm holding myself incommunicado for the weekend.
Sleep well!
Is this week over yet?
Not for me. I've got tech this weekend. 10 of 12 tomorrow. I should probably go in tonight and write some cues, but I'm thinking of just going in a little early tomorrow and cueing through the 2 hour shift rehearsal. This is a very sound heavy show with an inexperienced sound designer, so I expect it won't be hard for me to stay ahead with the light cues.
Sophia, what a scare! I'm gonna echo the others who said Lock The Doors! You can get those little magnetic key boxes at any auto parts store. Just keep a copy of the door key (not the ignition) hidden on the car.
Kathy, good luck and vibes to your step-brother.
Brother-ma to Kathy!
I found the combination sunblock and bugspray that I put away last fall. I need it -- it seems like the mosquitos have suddenly gone fierce around here!
