I can't believe I skipped and skimmed one little announcement.
I meant to send the good vibes to your brother Kathy.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

Something that only New Englanders will get: I betrayed my heritage at the Mr Frosty truck when I ordered my ice cream with "chocolate sprinkles." THEY'RE JIMMIES!!!!
My siblings and I grew up using that "jimmies". Although a few times here I've asked for jimmies on my ice cream (at ice cream shops) and they have no idea what I'm talking about.
Sprinkles have never tasted as good as they did when I was 6.
Today is warm enough that I have forgone my usual afternoon Americano in favor of a boba tea.

It's very traumatic realizing that what you thought was just the name turns out to be a regionalism. Like when I tried to order a sandwich on a bulkie roll in Philly.
Good luck to your stepbrother, Kathy.
OK, so maybe the words-for-food thing isn't that traumatic after all.
I don't think i've ever been able to taste sprinkles, they just look festive.
(eta: I seem to have always known that jimmies was another name for sprinkles, but never called them that)
Many happy returns of the day, askye.
They are charging me $10 for shipping, libkitty.
Thanks, -t.
libkitty, spiceburst didn't get all of my order somehow, so they called me this morning to make sure they had it right. I bet if you called they would be happy to run down the shipping to Alaska options.
jimmies and sprinkles were often called "shot" by my New England mother (who was in charge of all things ice cream).
Huh, I've never heard that, although it makes way more sense than "jimmies."
OMG can I go home yet??
Sophia, that took 10 years off my life just reading about it! Gah.
I'm so glad Owen loves his tv. So much so that pretty much most of the words he says comes from it. But it's been a lifesaver with my back out, and with the arrival of Miss Liv.
