That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

My cat gets in weird moods where he'll stand or sit next to me and just stare at me. His pupils get really big and he stares *really* intensly. Then, a few things can happen:

1. I pet him and he's mollified by the attention and settles down.

2. I don't pet him (the horrors!), and he pounces, bites my arm extremely hard (yes, he has punctured the skin), and runs away because he knows he did a bad thing.

3. I pet him and he still pounces and bites.

4. I notice the weird staring and I shove him off the couch with my foot and that seems to make him snap out of it.

I thought I had broken him of the behavior, but he did it again just a few days ago.

My cat is currently too hot for nefarious plots. He's been either flat on the floor or under my bed for the past couple of days.

That's mine too. I keep tossing them in the tub (it's cooler than the floor) but they don't stay, coming our to puddle in random spots in whatever room I'm in . Of course, MK still wanted to try and curl up on me when I was watching tv. Uhg. And the shedding is insane. I was getting huge handfuls off Devi last night AFTER I'd brushed her.

Devi does that. I usually squirt her or divert her with a qtip.

Art Crawl!!!

I think I confused my cats by coming home this morning to change my clothes.

They have had their normal 9.5 hours of sleep interrupted by a disappointing visit from me -- in which they did not get fed.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

This is where having more than one cat comes in handy. The Crazy Eyes will lead to one pouncing on the other and then massive chasing and wrestling. I think the Crazy Eyes Effect means pent up hnter energy and so playing must happen soon. When we just had one cat, we would make him chase the laser pointer until he was exhausted.

Yup. Since I got Mister Kitty, the psycho tends to focus more on him. And the toilet paper, for some reason.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Oh, Amarna had the Crazy Eyes going even after I snapped her out of stalking my forearm. She went on a racing tear around the apartment, ending with her landing on "her" plastic bag and looking at me with the ears pinned back and the wild look of "WAAAAAHHHHOOOOO!" She calmed down a few minutes later though, and decided to zonk out in the bedroom.

ION, did anyone else see Keith Olbermann bitch-slap Bill O'Reilly last night? I was watching the 11:00 rerun, and thought at first it would be his usual rather jokey BO'R rant, but he was furious and let Falafel have it with both barrels. As someone said in the C&L comments, by the end of the segment, Olbermann's voice "could freeze vodka."

Ann, that's a ferret.

OTOH, I think it's safe to say our 3 will never get together for nefarious plots. Max and Teddy don't get along too well. Teddy's too timid to plot. And Max would be turned about 30 seconds after you started petting him.

I could see Marie plotting. As long as she looked good while carrying it out.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Hey, bon bon. I have a question for bob bob. I was talking to a friend the other day about how one of my bigger college regrets is that I didn't pay better attention in my philosophy class, that I didn't try to get in another class before graduation.

So when I'm finished writing this book, I'd like to take out a book or two and try to gain a better understanding of the things I've forgotten. Basic definitions and examples and such. I thought to ask if bob bob had any recommendations. I'd need a sort of Philosophy for Idgits primer and then something that appliesbasic knowledge, if that makes any sense. Think he could help?

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Oh, you definitely came to the right place, Allyson. I'll get him.
