Hey, Hec, how much daily effort would you say is involved in that second one in your last post?
That's mostly product with a bit of blow drying to turn the ends and back out. 10-15 minutes. You'd need thickish hair for it.

::makes spluttery noise::
No sense spluttering at a woman who is feeling uncomfortably plump! Like rationality, pie gone.
See, I've got this whole Frantically Trying To Avoid MOM HAIR thing...
I don't think you need to worry, what with your being adorable and all.
My hair problem isn't mom hair so much as that I have tons of new hair that is coming in a bit coarser and wavier than the rest of my hair. Like when I pull my hair away from my face without any product, it looks like I have BANGS--that's how thickly it's growing in--CURLY BANGS!
Really, they are a bit of a nightmare.

I've had that cut. It takes more time and effort than that, at least if you have wave in your hair like I do. You need to plan on blowdrying it and using a flat iron if you want it to look like that, otherwise you can go with a more bedhead look.
I want that spy cut (and the top the model is wearing) REALLY a lot. But I don't trust my stylist to do it well, and I don't trust myself to style it properly every day.

JZ got that cut and the stylist reproduced it very exactly from that picture. Styling was a little tricky.
I basically have that spy cut, only I can't make it do that. It looked more or less like that when I left the salon, and has since resolved to do it's own thing no matter how much product/time I throw at it. (Now I just let it air-dry so that it stays in relatively tight waves close to my head. It's not perfect, but it's out of my face.)
I have a cowlick RIGHT front and center. So no Spy Hair for me!

Heh.
Mostly these days, I just look tired and cranky. With ponytail.
Yeah, I wouldn't call my hair 'thickish.' Oh well. On the plus side, I don't really get wave with my hair that short. Not that I'd mind more wave, but if I'm just going to have the half-assed kind I got in my twenties it might as well be avoidable...
