Lorne: Take care of yourself and ah, make sure fluffy is getting enough love. Gunn: Did he have anything? Fred: No. And who's fluffy? Are you fluffy? Gunn: He called me fluffy? Fred: He said make sure…wait. You don't think he was referring to anything of mine that's fluffy, do you? Because that would just be inappropriate.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

There has been MAD lightening here. Sadly, it's still muggy and yuck. But I still refuse to put in my air conditioner, because it goes in the only window I'm willing to leave open in my bedroom, and you know as soon as I put it in, we'll have a week of high of 70.

Also, this spelling bee is bananas.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

And, at every s airport, signs are bilingual, and so Customs are identified as "Customs/Duoanes"

Dude! Lucky break!

I'm actually surprised that there are some that I can spell. I knew this one, "heiligenschein," actually. But I live in a German city and took 2 years of German.

Do we need to be whitefonting the words?

Awwwww! The St. Louis kid got a standing ovation after he biffed his word!

I think I'm rooting for the girl who got re-instated, just for the "Fuck you, beey-otch!" factor.

How many are they down to now? My daughter was bored. We're watching "To Wong Fu With Love, Julie Newmar."

How much do I love the Spelling Bee watch n post? Now, if only they were wearing Oscar gowns...

I just got a call from an old friend from grad school who defended her dissertation yesterday. 10 years! Too long! So glad I left after, um, 6. Also, all the good departmental gossip.

Given what one of the commentators said about Hawaiian phonetic spelling, I can't either. They don't use many Spanish words, do they? Pretty much, you can spell anything in Spanish by hearing it.
