I found a flight for less than $400, so that's probably as good as it's going to get. I'll talk to C about it in the morning.

Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon: Madison, WI from June 20-22 2008! Official website.
Dear smonster, please come to my house and dance to House Of Wolves. In exchange, I will take you out to the gothy club and introduce you to pretty people who will fall all over themselves at the sight of you.

Doooo eeeet!
(But...in July, so I can come too!)
I'm still gunning for Otter Lake, 2011.
That? Would rock so hard.
We could go back to the middle for 2010 and then head east for 2011. We could frolic for a week and have the Prom on the weekend. That way, even if you only came for the weekend you could make it to the prom & still chip in on the therapy for the Holt children.

I love this idea. Unfortunately, have you met me and my lack of planning skills? I outsource planning events to another part of the Goth Hivemind. The keeper of that part of the Hivemind is pregnant (yay!), and admits she's lost her brain (boo!).
Waitaminute ... didn't people mention something about long-distance planners?
(Goes back, re-reads some of the thread)
AH-HA! "Vortex already said she'd do it if meara would be point person. IJS."
Awesome!
(But...in July, so I can come too!)
Okay!
Vortex also said she was drunk, so I really don't know if she was joking or not. The offer is appreciated though, drunken or not.
Yeah IF Seattle hosts F2F 09, then I think July is a necessity. Good weather is much less likely before July 4th, and I'm sure an 80 degree summer day would be like mid spring to some of you poor people.
Whee! And July almost guarantees that we US teacher types could go!
Definitely later F2F dates work better the further north we go. Madison was beeyoutiful in late June this year.
You guys lucked out this year. It's been unseasonably cool all year. It did work out quite well, though, even the rain held off for the main days of the F2F! And after I was worried that it was going to put paid to the whole thing by washing all the roads and airports out, it was nice to see the weather being so agreeable. Don't expect it to ever be so accomodating again!
Vortex and I can be co-long-distance planners. We're good at that kind of stuff, and I'm already planning one event in Seattle next year.
