Definitely later F2F dates work better the further north we go. Madison was beeyoutiful in late June this year.
F2F 4: Too Much Candy, Never Enough Mojitos.
Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon: Madison, WI from June 20-22 2008! Official website.
You guys lucked out this year. It's been unseasonably cool all year. It did work out quite well, though, even the rain held off for the main days of the F2F! And after I was worried that it was going to put paid to the whole thing by washing all the roads and airports out, it was nice to see the weather being so agreeable. Don't expect it to ever be so accomodating again!
Vortex and I can be co-long-distance planners. We're good at that kind of stuff, and I'm already planning one event in Seattle next year.

YES!
(I love the idea of a Seattle F2F. Just don't make me be the planny-person.)
Wait, what other event is Juliana planning for Seattle?
Or is it seekrit?
While I may have been drunk, I am willing to long distance plan , with appropriate point people.
Thanks again, Vortex.
I would cheerfully kick in on Seattle too. Somwhere in the computer I have the info from the time I pitched it.
Hmm... no, its in the last computer. Well, they had a great visitors bureau and there was some hotel with a lion in the name that seemed cool.

javachik was an EXCELLENT hostess, I'm very sorry that so many lovely (and rarely-seen) localistas went un-photographed, and I'm very glad I finished my last Suzi hug and got away before bursting into tears. I feel very selfish, always encouraging Buffistas to move away from their own localistas and live here but tearing up when one of our localistas goes and lives somewhere else, even for an incredible job and shiny future.
Awww, thanks JZ. It was really wonderful to play hostess for the day. Lovely turn-out, lots of smiling faces, lots of good food. And I actually got to sit for a bit and visit with peeps towards the end, so that was nice. Hope everyone had as good a time as I. And I am going to miss the hell out of Suzi.
Pictures are here.
