Wow, House on the Rock looks SO FUCKING AWESOME. Can we have one on Buffista Island?
Clearwater Folk Festival was a bust, unfortunately - we got out there, the sky unzipped, we stood in the rain for two hours waiting for it to let up, we gave up and came home. (There was about thirty minutes of clear skies wherein we ate lunch while Dylan collected leaves in the playground, but it didn't last.)

I think that's a moral imperative.
Good gods am I tired. We've now said goodbye (*sniffle*) to almost everyone. We're going to give Scola a ride to the airport tomorrow morning, though, so we aren't completely Buffista bereft. We were supposed to spend a couple of days in Chicago, but extenuating circumstances have made that impossible. Family stuff. So we're catching a flight home tomorrow and then driving straight down to San Diego for a few days.
Still, the F2F was incredibly awesomely fantastic (and a few more good words, too). I had a fabulous time at HotR and at Prom, and we had a delicious brunch this morning followed by a stroll down a little section of State Street downtown. Yay!

One of the best things about HotR? It's at a cosmic nexus point. It can be where it is *and* on Buffista Island.
Those doors that were locked and apparently led to nowhere?
They lead to Buffista Island.
Windsparrow and I are home.
We had a little sleep, some breakfast at 6 AM, some more sleep, then headed out of town about 10:15 am.
We miss all of you.
Andi's watching the movies above.
Cats are fed.
Naps soon.
Our Pics from F2F later.
Thanks. We're having dinner with my sales rep from the audio company I buy from all the time in about 20 minutes, then it's a good night of sleep followed by a full day of travel tomorrow. Got the call yesterday evening that Dad is in the hospital. Mom called today to say that she really needs the support so we've on a 2:00 flight tomorrow back to LA and then we'll drive directly from LAX to San Diego.

Gak! I shall have to learn the magic to block HotR from my awareness or I shall have to stay the hell away from Buffista Island. House on the Rock is way too fuckin' creepy for my tolerances. Major, major wiggins there.
But I'm glad I went. Definitely a once in a lifetime experience. So many things you can't see anywhere else.
Laura, I'm not sure why I'm not showing up for you in Flickr.

My dear, Doors from Buffista Island to other realms will be automatically baffled against intrusion by unwanted spirits, majiks, et al.
